In 1981 a white-blue and green Lola T600 - Ford won two rounds of the World Sportscar Championship, at Pergusa and at Brands Hatch.

The car was driven by a couple of friends, former top-level British Formula Aurora drivers, both of them had occasional start in Formula 1 Grands Prix: Guy Edwards and Emilio de Villota.

Ironically, more than thirty years later, their two children, Sean Edwards son of Guy, and Maria de Villota, Emilio's daughter, lost their lives almost in the same days as a consequence of bizarre accidents.

It is very sad. Possibly the two boys in 1981 were still in their fathers' (and mothers') minds, while they driving around the Druids and Dingle Dell, and the Proserpina variant.

Sometime motorsport gives us touching moments like this.
