Kimi , definitely. He doesn't live within boundaries like others and he has been liked no matter what he says or does and still he is thought as one of coolest guys on the circuit   He seems to have the control of his life and wasn't affected by his environment .It should be an entertaining life

Taki Inoue!

My sense of humour is awful compared to his:

Taki Inoue @takiinoue 6h

Pirelli F1 tyre is made in Turkey. How can they control the quality? F1 tyre is not a Kebab.

On a more serious note, I'd like to be Jenson Button since he's definitely the best compromise between a great racing driver and a great human being.

I see Button as a person who always only shows his best side to the outside world, but can be and sometimes is a real arrogant prick and ass in real life.

Don't know him of course, but that's the impression I get. Compared to Webber who genuinely seems to be a great guy

Herbert and Hill are the ultimate nice guys of F1.

These days Lewis and Jenson stand out as decent sorts, and even Seb is meant to be really nice away from the track.

Markus Winkelhock. Turn up, dominate once, then leave.

Thank you very much for such a touching video. She has just become my heroine!

Forget Kimi, she is the one!

I understand that's just 'the impression you get', but it says more about you in volume than it does about Button (whom you don't know of course).

Definitely would want to be Alonso. Huge wage, 2 WDCs(which is decent), will get all the credit for good performances and can always complain about the car if something went wrong, get BBC "chief F1 writer" as a personal fanboy, Santander, cool hair, a few million followers on Twitter and a cute girlfriend.

But he has no neck!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I like Button as how he comes across. I just have a feeling (and I'm quietly confident I'm correct) there's a bit more to him and behind the scenes he isn't always that nice chap he portrays to be.

There are several I'd like to be. Quick in and out. Just long enough to get their banking information.

You have a deathwish? :cat:

Noooooo...I would prefer to be Senna when he was still alive...without the tragic outcome... :(

Of today's drivers, I definitely would not be Lewis Hamilton...too much a tortured soul, and the whole Nicole thing drives me crazy. I think I would rather be Nico Rosberg...good looking, intelligent, contented...what more could you ask for?

If it's a question of driving attitude and style, my current pick would be Jenson Button. He drives in exactly the same way I would want to go about a Grand Prix. Smooth, unflustered, communicative and strategically adept as well as bloody fast when he wants to be.

Out of ex-drivers, I would say... I would like to be either Graham Hill or Alain Prost. For the same reasons I would want to emulate Jenson... they were never flustered behind the wheel and drove incredibly quick races at seemingly no more than a canter in the cockpit.

I think Button is a more a person who is a perfectly nice guy, but isn't a doormat. I'm not suggesting Webber is either, he's a top guy as well, but Button has had some legal wranglings and contract issues in F1 that may on the surface seem like him being a bit of a dick, but I think he positions himself in the same way an IT contractor might or something similar: a self-employed specialist contractor. He is very good at keeping those parts of his job to one side, being probably one of the most media-friendly drivers around. You don't hear any BS from Jenson...

If we leave his untimely death away, I think that it is difficult not to wonder how being Alfonso de Portago must have felt...

Because of the specific choices, or because they played along and chose somebody?   ;)

A little bit of escapism doesn't hurt or offend anyone. You've never looked at someone and thought 'lucky bastard'? I know I have, but it doesn't mean I am unhappy with my own life. Quite the contrary in fact; I absolutely love what I do and never want to retire!

Personally I think this topic is a lighthearted and refreshing alternative to the more common bash fests which pitch fanboy against fanboy.

That's funny, I was just reading about Alfonso de Portago! It would indeed have been fun to have been him...Grand National, Cresta Run, flying planes under bridges...as well as motorsport...wow! Not to mention the, er, "interesting" private life!  From the photos I have seen of him, it does seem as if "Fon" was one of the better looking racing drivers...

I'd like to be Kimi Raikkonen. Just not give a flying crap about what the world thinks. Do the best for myself and those close to me!
