Force India VJM09 - My livery design for the Force India. I don't like their current design and thought they could do something more with their colours and design. Since Force India were originally Jordan I looked back over their designs and found inspiration from the Jordan 197 "snake car" My design uses the national animal of India, the Bengal Tiger. The design sweeps from the front nose with the tigers head and follows the lines of the car to the elongated tail over the engine cover. The rest of the car is a stylised tiger stripe pattern with the the logos acting as the white of the stripes. Kept the nose clean of logos so to give the Tiger as much exposure as possible. Top view has tiger claw marks on the sidepods as a bit of fun.

Not sure if this is a repost but someone has mocked up a 2017 regulation car with retro liveries.. Reminds me how much more distinctive F1 liveries used to be: http://www.auto.cz/f...-zbarveni-98120

Request!
Can someone with the skills create a Ferrari and Mercedes Formula E livery? With the rumours going around it would be nice to see what these huge names would look like if they were in Formula E.
Here's a template to work from, it's not the new car but from the side not too much has changed: https://s22.postimg....m7/template.jpg
Not a blank canvas but a good base file to work from.

I love looking through this thread. There's some really, really good work done here and highlights just how poor the vast majority of liveries are today. I was watching Goodwood with my dad the other weekend and both agreed whatever you think about cigarette company sponsorship, there's no doubting their contribution to the best liveries the sport has ever seen and by some distance.
I understand each decade takes on it's own look and vibe from an aesthetic point of view but the designs they come up with these days are pretty lackluster to say the least. I quite liked Red Bull's revamp they brought in last year and the Toro Rosso looks pretty good but as for the rest? Meh.
We can't even get a decent Ferrari livery these days (always too much white from Santander) which have always been pretty simple. I wish the teams were aware of some of the livery designs that crop up here and seriously looked to use them, even as inspiration. Obviously a lot of the designs are limited to whatever the major sponsors want but there's more than one way to make them look good whilst giving maximum advertising.
Also loving those retro liveries on the 2017 cars! I always assumed it was the fact there's so little body area on the skinny shrink wrapped cars of today that they struggle to look good but these mock ups (superb quality I might add) prove it's veyr much possible to make these cars look fantastic.
