That moment when you can hum along to the German and Austrian national anthem better than your own

He deserves 4 though

A thoroughly deserving champion. Nice to see his special celebrations afterwards, and his warm reception from the crowd.

Can he make it five in 2014?

He's now in my top 5 greatest driver's list, along with Schumacher, Prost, Fangio, and Clark.

Coming from a big Alonso/Ferrari fan.

Fantastic achievement, no doubt. Vettel has been on top of his game all year, and its not his fault that the other teams and drivers can't compete.

This year's title is especially impressive, as it hasn't been clouded by the technical shenanigans we saw in 2011 and 2012.

I do hope that the other teams will get a clue sooner rather than later. :p

Big, big, cincere congrats to Vettel on his fourth title, and four in a row! He's 26 years old and has four titles. It's crazy. Thumbs up on the do-nuts on the start-finish straight! Great pics!

His best season so far, surely.

Congratulations to Seb, he's had an almost faultless season. I thought he was a little lucky to win the title last year, but he fully deserves it this year. He has shown Schumacher levels of domination in 2002/2004 and Mansell domination in 1992.

Easily the best driver of the season this year, well done to him.

I didn't think he would be able to better his 2011 season for a long, long time yet this is by far his best season. Really didn't expect him to dominate it just as much as 2011 because the first half of the season looked fairly competitive.

There will be the usual crowd saying it is all down to his car but to win four times in a row is unbelievable. Would be amazing if he managed to win the last 3 races of the season.

He's done a fantastic job and well deserved.

Now hopefully someone will take the fight to him next year. If you can beat Seb and Red Bull, you have to be on top of your game.

He's a great season, but how dominant is that car? He did well when the car was not the best, he was cool and consistent, but this car had serious pace which was hidden thanks to the cheese tyres.

RBR has never been so dominant, even in 2011!

Vettel: 4WDC in a row starting from 2010

RBR: 4WCC in a row starting from 2010

See a pattern? Vettel has been great at maximising his results, but let's not fool ourselves that Newey/RBR have totally owned the 2009-regs era.

Well the car IS the best, by some distance.

But it still needs to be driven, so congrats to Sebastian.

Screw the car the car is great... Adrian is a legend we all know that.. but it takes a driver to drive the car and these past four years have removed most if not all my reservations about Sebs capabilities .. the guy is the real deal..

CONGRATULATIONS SEB .. you have EARNED IT !!! and the performance i have witnessed i have to say is legendary in its own right.

This from a Brawn and Mercedes supporter.. but above all ..a Motorsport fan !!

Sebastian.

You are THE BEST driver on the grid at the very moment. And only absolute haters won't admit that.

Amazing performance, though car is great as well. But Vettel didn't put a wrong foot whole season long I believe

Hopefully he will win 3 more titles in the next 3 years so he will be like Jesus Christ of Formula 1.

The reaction to him winning this year is opposite to last year, I think the majority now recognize that Vettel is one of if not the best driver in the sport today.

I am a Lewis fan through thick and through, so I am hardly jumping for joy like the Seb fans on here, but I feel that justice has been done as on driving merit Seb has done the best job over the course of the year. I think for today, any cynics should stay quiet, a young man has driven his heart out and achieved something massively impressive.

On a personal note I will say this as a fanatic who rate quality of quantity in terms of achievement, I think the 2013 triumph is worth more in value than the past 3 titles combined. I do not mean that in a backhanded way.

Going to log off for a while now, so enjoy your celebration Seb fans

They should let the winner head to the grid and celebrate every race - if they chose to - great little display. Well done Seb, he shouldn't have won this race but he did. 4x WDC.

He does deserve it, no doubt about it.

But it's not been a classic championship, at all.

Seb has 322 WCC points, 9 more than the entire Mercedes team & 13 more than the entire Ferrari team. Kudos to Seb.

He's started to remind me more and more of MSC this year. Just always there - Hungary was probably the only iffy drive he's turned in all season. When the cards are stacked in his favour he wins, as he did today, when he gets a shot at a win he wins, as he did in Germany, and when RB are struggling he gets the best out of it, as he did in Australia and China. He's been the best driver on the grid this year.

The scariest thing is that, at 26, I believe we still haven't seen the best of him yet.

Fastest car with possibly the fastest driver, so well deserved.  Some great races on the way to his 4th in a row.
