As you have all heard by now, Red Bull has been fined $25,000 for Sebastian Vettel's victory celebration in India. Regardless of whether you feel it is deserved, it appears most fans very much disagree with the notion to punish a driver for celebrating a victory like that. Because of that, I decided this would be a great opportunity to make a statement to the FIA, and make the world a better place.

Let the FIA have their $25,000. Let us, as fans, give $25,000 to the children in India (where this happened) and Brazil (where we finish the season).

On top of that

  • Sebastian Vettel will be asked to double all donations
  • Michael Schumacher will be asked to double any $91 donations
  • Fernando Alonso will be asked to double all $1571 donations,
  • all drivers will be asked to double donations of $9,482 (the total number of points collected by all drivers, at the end of the race in Brazil)

$25k for FIA, $25k for charity on indiegogo.

I kicked it off with as little as $1. Who's next!

Oh so you start with $1, that's leading by example. Only 24,999 to go.

Good idea and nicely written out though.

How about asking Vettel to give the whole $25k to charity? Kind of like a finger to the FIA.

This is a chance for us as fans to also make a statement to the FIA.

This is our finger to the FIA.

For a start the $25k fine is for the team, not Vettel.

We made a statement. We watched a race in a place where a bunch of farmers were kicked off their land to make way for an expensive white elephant which is now defunct.

So maybe your idea is a good one, because what's a little more hypocrisy?

why are people making such a big deal about this?? You break the rules you get punished its very simple. I doubt Vettel himself cares much about the fine as he is no doubt out celebrating so there is no need to victimize him. Who cares! Get over it.

No one is victimizing Vettel.

This is a chance for the community to make a stand to the FIA, and to do something better for the world.

India has BILLIONS, all in the hands of the corporations and the government, yet they live in poverty! The UK gives millions to India already

If you are genuinely concerned then i apologise, but is seems this like nothing more than a ******** thread. No offence. Of course charity is important and a $25k donation from vettel would be a nice gesture on his part.

Nothing to do with being concerned, just thinking it's a great opportunity for us as fans to stand up and make a statement to the FIA. Exactly what so many fans have been calling for a chance to do.

Anyway, apologies accepted.

Just hope we as a community can make the world proud by fighting for what we believe in in our sport, and doing some good.
