Can't see beyond Alonso myself, despite Ferrari's dip in form he has too much determination to let the position slip. But what do you think?
So who will finish second in the WDC?

Alonso but it's hardly the interesting battle, what's interesting is second in the WCC

2. Alonso, 3. Raikkonen, 4. Hamilton
I think the order will change only if somebody in there has monumental unluck in the upcoming races.
The only pity is that Webber has had rotten luck recently. Without this he would easily challenge Raikkonen and Hamilton for third and fourth. But as it is, he is barely ahead of Rosberg and has a tough time catching people ahead even if his car stays intact for the last three races.
Also battle for seventh with Grosjean and Massa tied. Grosjean has the momentum for now, but as we know, one bad race with a DNF can change a lot here.

Even that isn't particularly interesting...

I mean - this is the stuff that motivates me to watch those early morning races at the start of the season... "what team will finish a distant distant second in the WCC???? "

Should be Alonso, unless he has 3 DNFs. Lotus is a solid podium contender, best of the rest behind the Bulls so Kimi may close the gap a bit.

There are 75 points waiting to be gifted to Webber.
If he can't get 2nd, he'll get 3rd or 4th
He's the ONLY one that Vettel will pull over for.

Posting the current points might be a smart move.
3 races left, so 75 points to play with.
207 Alonso
183 Raikkonen
169 Hamilton
148 Webber
144 Rosberg

As we've seen the Lotus's attitude towards Kimi Alonso will easily keep his 2nd place with his ill Ferrari.

If Lotus keeps this kind of attitude towards their driver , then it is easy it will be Alonso; otherwise Kimi has a high chance.

What attitude?
The popular opinion among some is that Lotus is trying to prevent Räikkönen from scoring any points, so that they don't have to pay him extra salary. They give him bad strategies and try to distract him by cursing over the radio. Or something along those lines.
Anyway, second in the WDC. Who knows. With just three races to go it'll probably be Alonso. Joint second in 2007, second in 2010, second in 2012, and perhaps second again in 2013. What a bummer!

No he won't. He didn't in 2011, so why would he now? I can only see Webber beating Vettel in Brazil really.

They forget that finishing 2nd in the WCC makes it far easier to pay his salary

Alonso. It may narrow a bit but I don't see Fernando being entirely out of the points again at any of the remaining races.

Alonso, again...

It's hard to look past Alonso. And I do hope Ferrari ends 2nd in the WCC as well.

He isn't the first to have someone else stand often in front of him. With his talent it is kind of a shame though. But his F1 career ain't over yet and he seems to be still motivated.

It's hard to see past Alonso getting it. With each of their respective teams' recent forms, I don't see massive point swings between Hamilton, Alonso, or Raikkonen unless some DNFs go around. Not impossible, but you never know. In the meantime, my money's on Alonso.

Retarted thinking . It is worth more for them to finish 2nd in the wcc as opposed to 4th..The popular opinion among some is that Lotus is trying to prevent Räikkönen from scoring any points, so that they don't have to pay him extra salary. kimi cant even beat grosjean right now.... India was a one off for fernando and ferrari and they will be strong in the remaining races so only a miricale will help kimi. Not gonna happen.

It seems like "if you ain't first, you're last" type of deal. I understand there might be bonuses written into drivers' contracts, but from our point of view as spectators, who really gives a ****? Aside from Prost/Senna and maybe Mansell, who are you really going to remember as the #2? I'm talking about 30 years from now, no cheating on Google or Wikipedia.
To sum it up, who cares?

Alonso or Hamilton if Mercedes get the right speed for the next two races, unfortunately Räikkönen dose not have the support from his team that he would deserve, teamspirit in Lotus is going way back downhill
