Anyone who may have Brands Hatch programmes for August 1957 might be able to help me identify the driver of a Lotus Eleven, light coloured, and ran as Number 46. It looks like George Wicken but perhaps someone has a programme for the meeting

Graham,
There were three races at this meeting with Lotus XIs, sports cars up to 1.1 litre, up to 1.5 litre and an Autosport 'production car' race with Ford powered XIs as per the WRSP site but unfortunately no mention of Wicken and no race numbers recorded on same or indeed full starter lists.
Perhaps you have a photograph we can look at?

There is a photograph in Autosport, 9th August 1957, which says it is Ian Walker. He had just won the Autosport championship race.

Well, I was there, but being only 12 at the time, I can't remember who drove what; I haven't got the programme, but I'll ask my brother in the unlikely event he kept it.

Nope - He doesn't have a copy, sorry.

My post #4 was info from the actual prigramme. If the OP wants a full entry list it'll be no problem.
