Hi!

I was wondering about the meximum speeds various cars are reaching on specific circuits.

This data is clear and accesible for F1  via http://www.formula1.com/results/ ,where we can find results from speed traps from every session on every track from 2004 to today.

But what with GP2? They race on the same tracks as F1, and sometimes "some" top speed data is revealed, in twitted on "insider", but are there are specific and accurate statistics about this?

And what with GP3, Indycar, AutoGP etc...

I (or google) managed to find some "internal" pdfs from circuits ( https://www.google.p... traps"&start=0 ) or https://www.google.p.../get speed trap.

 

Are there somewhere official results from speed traps available through net?

Depends on the track, the final drive used and even the weather.

V8 Thupercars teams were whining they needed a taller diff ratio for Bathurst or they would blow the gearbox up? on the rev limiter. Actually they were slower than the old cars and seldom ever got to the limiter. Last year they quite often did.

 

F1 are so finicky the speeds vary widely with a breath of wind. Or if the driver had a big meal the night before!
