I wish to write a short article about the history of AC Cars before the Cobra.  The first car was made by a John Weller and exhibited at a London Motor Show in 1903.  John went on to form Auto Carriers Ltd which then became AC Cars.  In the 1920's he designed the six cylinder, single OHC Aluminum engine which powered AC cars until 1963.  John left AC Cars in about 1923 when S.F. Edge joined the company and he seems to have vanished.  One web site describes him as the "Elusive John Weller".  I have found that he was born in 1878 and lived with his parents, showing up in the 1911 census still with them and single at the age of 33.  I can't find any references to him after then.  Did he emigrate, did he do anything more in the car industry, when did he die?

Very many thanks Tim.  My searching did not find that site. That gives me a detailed history up to when he left AC, and when he died.  Now I have to find an Obituary, but can't seem to get into the Times Archive.
