FOG.
Posted 15 November 2013 - 15:30
Session to start at 9.40am local time for 1 hour.
Posted 15 November 2013 - 15:31
Don't think there is a need for a SC. What does the SC do? Show the spectators some action? The problem is the fog so they have to send the SH(SafetyHeli) in the air to try if the visibility is good enough now. SC is useless, the visibility was never too poor to drive.

Is this a medical helicopter issue or a Charlie Whiting issue?

Posted 15 November 2013 - 15:36
Medical helicopter issue, simple as that.

Heikki getting ready to go.

Liking the 'Heikki's Hooch' on the side of his drinks bottle. Slightly random.

If they have an ambulance let them drive for christ sake.. or for the fans sake..
Posted 15 November 2013 - 15:59
Pilot's having a ****
Should have gone before the session started, unless its one of those mid-air mishaps. I hear those are quite terrible.
Posted 15 November 2013 - 15:59
Bloody useless session!

Smedley,"Pic and that, uhhh, guy driving the Toro Rosso, has just passed now, behind you is a big gap"
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:00
Well this doesn't help heikki
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:00
What's going on? Get them out on track, they started without the helicopter, why can't they continue?

Doubt they'll extend the session any further. I'm going to make a prediction that we won't see cars back on track until at least 10.15am local time. Still, at least they extended it in the first place.

They've stopped the clock.
Yeah that's a good thing, looks like the session will still be an hour
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:03
As the fog disappeared the FiA could see that there was no helicopter?
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:12
BBC F1 technical analyst Gary Anderson says he has spoken to the FIA and they say they don't know where the medical helicopter is. They know it set off but have no idea why it's not here yet. What a mess.

Whitmarsh when interviewed about Alonso in the pits: "he is the best driver in the world, but unfortunately for us he will drive in Ferrari next year".

Was the Medical 'copter using an iPhone for navigation? (Okay, old, but still, it's Friday, and I've only got 10 minutes left at work...)

The star of FP1... The missing helicopter
And now I wonder if with one helicopter is enough... I heard there had to be, at least, two of them...
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:18

Wow! So now Felipe Massa is all of a sudden an ace at qualifying? He has done a very good job in the last few races beating Fernando, but an ace?
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:23
This is total crap.

To make it even worse, how can you not have a chopper in the circuit. FFS

Why not? Shouldn't hurt anyone saying that.
Edit: looks like the helicopter got the wrong address.

Surprised Massa is given so much credibility by commentators
I'm struggling to get excited about a number 2 driver transferring to a midfield team
Posted 15 November 2013 - 16:28
Them as didn't get their tickets ain't missing much - I won't be asking COTA to organise the piss-up in my local brewery.
You expecting to need a medical helicopter there?

Well,he was a pole master in 2007 and 2008.

Indycar bosses probably bribed the helicopter pilot to sabotage this F1 session

You've got to be joking.
