The track might be fun to drive, but to watch its just another sterile car park with the same average speed and average laptime as any other - I just can't fall in love with any modern circuit.

Interesting that you mention the average speeds. I actually went to check the average speed around this circuit, because for some reason it looked much slower than at other races. Especially in turns 12-20 it often seemed as though the cars were just coasting along. I had the same experience when the WEC was in Austin for its six hour race, so it might just be a quirk of the track and the positioning of the cameras.

Tell me, since 2010, each race for you is 10/10 isn't it?

I know that you might be a fan of a driver, but that's really odd rating.

I'm as big a fan of Kimi - so if my estimate was driver rated, it would have a maximum of 7 as one of them didn't show up at all. .  You just have to recognize that not everyone shares your experiences of the same events in life.

Please rate the race objectively and not on your favourite drivers result :)

Best Driver Vettel
Worst Driver Maldonado
Best Team Red Bull
Best Overtake Bottas on Gutierrez
Best Moment Vettel crossing the finish line achieving an historic record
DRS + Tyres OK
And the race in a sentence... History is made

10/10

2/10, would have given it 1/10 but I thought it was a nice rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner before the race.

Best Overtake - Bottas on Guttierez
Best Moment - Bottas on Guttierez
DRS + Tyres - .....

Best Driver: Vettel, Grosjean, Hamilton, Alonso, Hülkenberg, Bottas (those made the best out of their cars)
Worst Driver Sutil or Maldonado (you do not crash on a straight)
Best Team RBR
Best Overtake Bottas on the outside in the S-Curves
Best Moment Attack from Hulk on Alonso in the last lap
DRS + Tyres okay
And the race in a sentence: Acutally not bad, if you ignore Vettel. A constant fight between Grosjean and Webber, Hulk and Alonso were close and around postion 9-12 there was always a fight going on. So I say  asolid 6/10.

Awful race. I wish I had done something else with my evening. Roll on 2014 and the hope we see more competition at the front.

I've come to realise that we all have vastly different ways of rating a Grand Prix out of 10.

For me, a 1/10 means actually turning off the TV in disgust.

2/10 falling asleep (and I don't tend to fall asleep watching TV)

3/10 Hungary 2004

4/10 A really boring race.

5/10 Indy 2005 (It still had some redeeming moments if you recall) or other bad races

6/10 A below average race

7/10 An OK race

8/10 An above avarage race

9/10 Something like yesterday. A good race.

10/10 A classic, with good battles and drama througout.

Apparently my scores are massively inflated compared to most people's standard.

Tire test, while Vettel trundles along in front, short shifting so low that his revs weren't even registering on his wheel.

Again, can someone explain why we have to wait 2 laps for DRS?  Was Hamilton ever in DRS range of Grosjean?  If there would be no passing if not for DRS, why not have it in the first lap, and across the whole track???

Wait until everyone has made their final tire change, and see what the Pirelli lottery reveals?

Great track, dumb rules.

5 and that's being kind for the 1 or 2 decent battles we had at the end of the race. Upfront there was no excitement and no uncertainty.

Not a fault of the brilliant circuit, it happens.

Well but we all agree, that track itself is really great. It is nice to watch. But I blame for **** event the advantage of RBR.

If we would have Raikkonen maybe there would be more battle, cause at the very moment only team that gives at least a little hard time, is Lotus. And with Grosjean being alone vs 2 it is quite hard to.

Best Driver - Bottas
Worst Driver - Pic
Best Team - Williams
Best Overtake - BOT on GUT
Best Moment - The race ending
DRS + Tyres - Two DRS zones is now the norm but is completely OTT
And the race in a sentence... - About as forgettable as most of the other races this season.

Best Driver: Grosjean
Worst Driver: Maldonado
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Button on Ricciardo
Best Moment: When I switched over to watch something else
DRS + Tyres: First time I have longed for no DRS and the return of Bridgestones
And the race in a sentence...Very dull and has me worried that next year is going to be the same, regardless of the regulation changes

Terrible race if I am honest, and I support Vettel and Red Bull. Not only was nothing happening up the front, very little was happening else where. At least when Schumacher was winning all the time there was other action going on, but people seem to forget that. Looking forward to see the back of this season even though my favourite driver on the grid is winning.

I can only conclude that you didn't watch the race and missed the action going on behind Vettel.

Either that or I watched a different Grand Prix to half the people here.

Dull, dull dull... gave it a 3 out of ten for some of the overtakes which were by and large DRS passes.

Crap tyres, crap driving to delta's, crap race.

100k people! Awesome race!

10/10! But then it is personal...

Even if I was a huge Seb fan, I could not honestly rate that race 10/10 and I'm stunned anyone could.

BTW what part of 'Please rate the race objectively and not on your favourite drivers result' didn't you understand?

Best Driver - Vettel and Grosjean
Worst Driver - None
Best Team - Red Bull Racing
Best Overtake - Bottas passing Gutierrez
Best Moment - Vettel covering Webber in T1 costing his teammate 2 positions
DRS + Tyres - Didn't make much of a difference since the straight is too short

To be fair, what was going on behind Vettel wasn't anything to write home about. Sure there were some good overtakes but so much of it is now down to one car's tyres falling away that a lot of these overtakes are inevitable.

The GP went pretty much how I thought it would. Grosjean jumping Webber into T1 was always going to happen but we never really had much of a fight after that. Webber's pass on Hamilton to move back into the podium positions was good but again, inevitable enough.

Best Driver - Grosejan, Bottas
Worst Driver - Massa, Maldonado
Best Team - Really? Red Bull, clearly much faster than the reast of the field. Bad start from Webber prevented a quite clear 1-2.
Best Overtake - Alonso on Hulk, well prepared in the first corner
Best Moment - none really...
DRS + Tyres - Not much DRS action this time (not like in other races) and tires ok, I guess, 1 stop nowadays means something.
And the race in a sentence... I have none, easy to forget race

I gave it a 3/10. Stopped watching it live (via Skygo on computer) after an hour and caught up via the BBC highlight programme. First time I've done that.
Frankly, there were more entertaining programmes for me to watch of a Sunday evening ( The Paradise and the start of IACGMOOH).

It was a borefest.  I have watched F1 since 1982, but yesterday I just turned off about halfway through.  When I checked the results after the race, nothing had changed.  So it was a good decision.

Had a great time at the track.  Crowd was fun, the Biergarten behind T6 was a brilliant idea.

The race outcome was set once Pirelli announced Medium/Hard for this track,so I had low expectations for the race.

Nice to see Alonso pass Perez and Hulk, and it was a nice bit of defending against Hulk towards the end.  I think the DRS activation zone starts a little too late on the back straight.  Not sure why it isn't closer to T11.  That being said, as fast as Seb could put the power down coming out of T11, it would not have mattered to him.  But as to many others, it seems the DRS is not active long enough to allow more passing into T12.

Also last year several passes happened in the 13-15 complex, and I don't think I saw any yesterday.  Maybe with the second DRS zone on the front straight nobody was willing to risk it?  doesn't that sort of sum things up these days?  Drivers don't want to risk overtaking.

Can't wait for 2014.  Hopefully things get a little more interesting.

Watching since 1993. Yesterday was the first time I 'choose' to turn off after 20 laps.

Says the guy down-voting another Vettel victory despite it being closer than most of the non-Vettel victories this year and last year

It may surprise you, but not everyone only tunes in to see if his favorite driver is fighting for victory. Plenty of great driving all through the field, as a true Formula One fan would take notice to.

First part of the GP was pretty boring indeed, but the second part had a lot of action (excellent passes and excellent defence) - just not for #1.

Actually, I think they are inflated a bit.  I would have 5/10 as a strict average but you have 6/10 a 'below' average in the top half of the possible scores.

Best Driver: #BOTTAS
Worst Driver: Maldonado
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Webber on Lewis
Best Moment: Webber puts pressure on, Grosjean responds with lap record
DRS + Tyres: Decent. I feel the Hard/Med combination allows to push. It was more degradation this year though, and they show suffered in comparison
And the race in a sentence.. It was a boring race in general but it had its moments.

Gave it a 5. It was an average race but didn't live up to last year's. Could have been better.

Vettel gets a 10 for his performance from me, though. To stay at the sharp end so consistently for so long is remarkable.

7/10

Best Driver Grosjean
Worst Driver Maldonado
Best Team RBR
Best Overtake Bottas on Gutierrez
DRS + Tyres Tyre choice too conservative and that's it.
