I've been asked to try and find out which circuit this is and I'm certain that the collective here can not only identify which circuit, but probably which corners and a ball park date. I think that naming the driver would be a an achievement too far, even for your combined knowlege.

In this first image , he is obviously going for it

But in this second one, I think that he is either stationary or the photographer is in a vehicle in front

can anyone help?

Oulton Park - the second one is Cascades and the first looks like Old Hall.

What a strange position the Sprite is in in the first picture!

Strangely sideways, it would most probably have been the combined weight of the two rear aerials and the one spot light on the front bumper overrider, which has upset the balance or perhaps it's staged?

Fastastically fast responses (once again)

I don't think the car is moving in either photo, posed for pub bragging to impress the birds. Like somebody, now deceased, whose opening gambit was "Have you ever seen a competition licence?"

The body roll is all wrong for the first to be in a slide... as it appears to be posed...

Either stationary or doing a U-turn.

I tried my luck with the number plate on the DVLA site and amazingly the registration today appears on a 1959 green Austin Healey that appears to have been recommissioned in 2012. Not sure that helps with the dating of the pics but might jog someone's memory.

Hi Arttudesco,

Yes, I also have an image of the car as it is today, as it is the current owner who gave me the scanned images above (I didn't think to ask him where he got them!) to see if I could find out the cicuit and any additional information.
