My guess is not breaking the 400 points mark, again. (Assuming he wins Brazil, he will end up with 397, 5 more than is 2011 campaign in which he would have done it if not for the Abu Dhabi tyre failure.)

The public reaction to 'that' hairstyle?
That Uncle Markko or Christian couldn't make the naughty boys stop booing him?
That Mark Webber is leaving?

He will be frustrated that it took them until Spa to finally get that car performing reasonably well.

He will die in misery from the knowledge that he failed to win all 19 WDC races this year.

Maybe secretly disappointed that that he wasn't winning closer races?

Blasphemy. Ever since he adopted that hairstyle, he wouldn't stop winning. That's the real secret of his domination.

If he wins Brasil, that'll be the one that stopped him from breaking MS's record for most wins in a season. The car failing him at Silverstone.

Just because Alonso and Hamilton fans don't like him does not mean that others don't.

Never having beaten one of the other top drivers in the same car. He knows perfectly well what many people are thinking.
Posted 19 November 2013 - 20:20
Correction: stupid fans don't really like him. I've yet to speak to someone actively involved in racing who views him negatively overall, and I've been to a considerable number of racing events this year alone. That people don't really like him

That he missed the chance to put Mark on his number in Malaysia.
Since he quoted Kimi so well, what he should have said was: "I was inspired by what Mark once said: "Of course I ignored the team because I wanted to try and get a place.""
Would have put mr "I hate team orders" in his place and probably saved him a year of drama.

That those chumps at Pirelli didn't change the tyres before the first race so that he could have got pole, win & fastest lap for each weekend.
Yup, this. If they'd changed back to the 2012 tyres at the first signs of distress he could've had a dozen wins on the trot.

Doesn't Schumacher regret or at least consider Jerez 97 a mistake?

We are talking about 'secret regrets', yes?
"Schumacher has rarely said sorry in the past. It is not in his character to accept pressure from other people, particularly the media, to apologise. He was forced by Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo to make a public apology after Jerez 1997, when he drove Jacques Villeneuve off the road . . ." - James Allen
If you want to succeed at this level, admonishing yourself for slights is counterproductive.

Piquet is fine. Douche or not, he is genuine. Vettel on the other hand, dot dot dot

Posted 19 November 2013 - 23:13
That he has won many wdc's but is still less popular or considered less talented than the multiple world champion Nelson Piquet who barely registers historically?
Did you just make this up? Just as an example, after 2011, the BBC had Vettel on P8 and Piquet on P16 in their all time ranking.

Almost 200 points more than his teammate, who would not have beaten Alonso if RBR had to depend on him - says enough for me and I guess for Seb as well.
And remember that halfway this season quite a few people were not convinced Seb would be the 2013 WDC and he might have had some doubts himself as well after Hungary - if you win 8 races in a row from then on there's precious little reason to be dissatisfied.
Winning after you've had some problems and doubts en route is always more satisfying than winning without resistance. Never has Michael Schumacher been more ecstatic than after winning his 2003 title - as is well documented wtf1.co.uk/i-predict-a-riot-schumis-drunken-japanese-rampage/

Maybe he regrets Malaysia, because considering how easily he won the WDC this season, the whole ignoring team orders debacle in Sepang just to gain 7 points was a rather pointless exercise.
Maybe at the time Vettel thought that those 7 points would be massively important come to the end of the season, and he won both the 2010 and 2012 titles by smaller margins than that. In hindsight though, it was completely unnecessary as he has now won the WDC by +100 points anyway.
Although I can understand why SV did it at the time. 2013 looked to be very competitive and Mercedes, Ferrari and Lotus were all seriously challenging Red Bull.

Well, you're not providing anything to substantiate your point.

That's the great thing... if I like the BBC, got a few racing fans together and published a list that didn't have Seb in the top 20 would you accept it as evidence?
If it are "a few racing fans" that happen to be experts on the subject, walking the paddock, making their living being knowledgeable Formula One pundits.
Posted 19 November 2013 - 23:54
I would hope he would be disappointed in his part in the Multi 21 saga, and perhaps he might feel that this season has not been fun in terms of racing, but you can only race what's put in front of you, and the competition has been utter dross this season.

If you had a bunch of legendary and current drivers saying Vettel didn't belong in the top 20, then sure.
But a bunch of legendary and current drivers are saying Vettel is one of the all-time greats, so your complaints sound like sour grapes.
