At last, the final race. We're all over it, it seems, based on the lack of a build up thread. But this is usually my favourite race of the year, so I thought I'd get things started.

It's Mark Webber's final race, Felipe Massa's final race in red, and the end of the V8 era. Can Webber get his 10th win? Can Vettel extend his winning streak record? Will Nico Hulkenberg show us more of his Brazilian mastery by netting the podium he came so closed to last year? Is this the last time we see Sergio Perez, Paul di Resta, Esteban Gutierrez or Adrian Sutil in an F1 car? Will it rain?

Pirelli will be bringing two sets of 2014 development tyres for each driver, to be used over FP1 & FP2 on Friday.

Schedule:

FP1 - Friday 10:00am (12pm UK time)

FP2 - Friday 2:00pm (4pm UK time)

FP3 - Saturday 11:00am (1pm UK time)

Quali - Saturday 2:00pm (4pm UK time)

Race - Sunday 2:00pm (4pm UK time)

Bye bye V8s. I will not missed your frozen, spec and uninspired constraints. It was not your fault.

If the V8's could answer you back, how do you think they would respond?

They would have at least wished there had been no rev limit.

Well said.

Let's hope it stays dry. Safety cars are bad enough, but even more so during a race broadcast in the evening.

I wonder where Webber will fall back to after qualifying second or so. The first turn here has potential for ending up in just the wrong places. :p

It's a real shame we haven't had any wet races this year at all. (wet quali, yes, wet races no).

Brazil can be unpredictable, but Vettel/Red Bull domination look complete...

Just have to hope something happens to put some spice in a long dead dog of a season.

No way, Vettel wants to win 13 in a season to tie Michael's record. RBR will do everything possible to make that happen.

What did we have last year, 144 overtakes or something?

A race like that again would be perfect.

Brazil 2012 was a nerve wracking race. I doubt it will be as good this year, but still hope for some action.

Dry Friday would be valuable for 2014 tire test, but wet race would be great!.

Races like Brazil 2012 and Brazil 2008 doesn't happen very often, both of them are candidates for best race off all time.

Finally this season comes to an end. Found this one even more boring than 2011. Also don't like the calendar like this. Hardly any races until the summer break, and now we have like six to seven races in nearly two months time.

This years calendar was a bad one. Allways those 1 or 3 week breaks but almost never a 2 weeks break. Until Monaco i had the feeling the season hasn't even started properly due to the 3 week breaks that made me feel like in the winter break.

Unbelievable we have allready seen 18 races this year! We reached the half-time very suddenly and now it is allready over.

Traditionally expect  bad race from Hamilton and good from Hulkenberg. Williams could be a surprise too.

Must be the first time i complain about something like this, but i don't think the second DRS zone was necessary. Desperately hoping for a wet race.

The end of the V8 era.

We had the end of the V8 era once before. However, it seems less likely that we will see another one this time. The future is electric, apparently.

Saturday: RBR front row, Lotus a close second along with a Ferrari.

Sunday: Webber has a poor start and Vettel opens an ever increasing lead until he crosses the finish line, at which point RBR find a reason to say his win was 'difficult'.

All weekend: TV pundits continue to act as if Mark Webber is dying, rather than simply moving to another world class racing series.

As a Senna fanatic is must be painful for Lewis to have never been on the podium in Brazil. 2011 was the only year he had an OK race, but overall the cars he had in the past have not been well suited to Interlagos which has traditionally been dominated by Ferrari.

I agree though that Lewis is weak around Interlagos, it's one of his worse tracks.

Wasn't he third on the podium in 2009?

It was. Brazil 2012 was one of the greatest races ever... If it was dry, it would not have been as good. Same for 2008.

Brazil always throws up a surprise. For that reason I don't expect Vettel to win and think McLaren will get a podium. (OK so I'm an optimist!)
(I'm also very bad at predictions so have probably just guaranteed the opposite - sorry)

I love the Brazil race and despite it not being a vintage year compared to some of the recent ones I will still miss F1 for the next couple of months.
Hopefully it will be dry on Friday so they can test the new tyres - Pirelli need all the feedback they can get to avoid a disaster like this year, but a bit of light rain in the race would not go amiss. (the kind of conditions that Jenson excels in :) )

Malaysia was a kind of wet for the first 5-6 laps.

Other than that, nope. 2013 has been the most droughtful season in F1 history, in both precipitation and excitement.

Lewis was actually pretty good last year in qualifying and in race trim when it was full wet, he only struggled in mixed conditions where Button is the king.

This is the track where I think RB will be at their least strong for quite some time, means nothing in the grand scheme of things, but still. If it is wet I like Alonso to do well, if its full wet Lewis could do something quite special. Button has a great chance to steal a podium if it goes mixed.

Seb is still the outright favorite though.

I want a weekend with lots of rain the whole time. So the teams cannot use the "oh, the car runs too low" excuse, because they can set the car up higher, and if there are no chance at all for a dry minute, they must do it. A proper wet race again!

That means little really, better looking at a proper weather site

Best guess right now is a soaking Friday, drizzly Saturday and a dry Sunday

More than once this season it's predicted heavy rain all 3 days, only for it to be bright and sunny the entire weekend.

Wet race is unlikely tbh. Very wet on Friday, getting drier throughout the weekend. I agree though, another dry race will likely lead to more disappointment.

Don't worry, we will not miss F1 either. Max Mosley signed us on great promise that we will be the future of motor-racing, only to disable our ability to showcase our talent, err potential, like putting a mouth restraint to a dog. Thank goodness the 7 years of suffering with rev-limiter and no development since 2007 is finally over.

F1.com takes their prediction from there I suppose http://www.weather.c...s BRSP4928:1:BR, and right Friday is almost guarantee of rain so far.

Friday rain/thunder 90%

Saturday showers 60%

Sunday  am showers 30%
but weather often moves from day to another day, and AM showers may move to PM showers, I hope it will happen this time with dry Friday and rain in Sunday. In 2012 prediction for Sunday were similar with AM showers 40% and it moved to PM showers, it rained just before the race and during the race.
