First there were tweets of Monsieur_f1 which in my opinion could or could not be a reliable source so i don't give that much importance, but now yahoo and Autosport which in my opinion its a very reliable source its saying that Maldonado will hit Swiss grounds for 2014 what do you guys think ?

I think they're even more desperate for money than we realized.

The way Maldonado is hawking his fork (and PVSDA or whatever the initials are) he should just put on lipstick, a garter belt, fishnet stockings, and red thong and bra.*

Lotus must be steaming though.  They thought they had the "person of negotiable affection often seen on certain streets late at night" (and associated $$$$).

I now need mind bleach to remove that horrific image!

Monsieur_F1 is not a reliable source. I mean he is pretending to be a journo "travelling to all the races", but in reality, he gathers his info from the internet or makes it up.

Well for Lotus, Quantum deal fell through (or is about to fall), now it looks like they won't get PDVSA money either. Could be in for a big financial crisis. And for Sauber, according to Adam Cooper the Sirotkin deal also fell through, so they need another huge pay-driver.

Sauber has been one of several options for Maldonado for 2014. Lotus and Force India being the other so nothing new there.

Would be funny if Lotus misses out on both Hulkenberg och Maldonado though but with Perez suddenly on the market they'll be fine anyway.

Maldonado will end up at Lotus .... Lotus are just bitching about the fact the Williams severance payment means they will "only" be getting 30 mil instead of the 45 Williams was getting for hosting Maldonado. So Maldonado is letting them know he has alternatives. But at the end of the day nobody else has anywhere near 30 mil to spend.,

And what if PDVSA is pulling out of F1 altogether like some current rumours are suggesting? Lotus probably want some guarantee that they will actually get the money.

there is no "current rumors" ... a random fan read Maldonado's comments in Brazil and decided to tweet an "exclusive" that pedevesa is withdrawing from F1. A Week ago the president of PDVSA was saying they are working to secure Maldonado at Lotus. It's all just a negotiation. Besides, if PDVSA was pulling out why would Sauber want Maldonado?

Except Maldonado himself is quoted here: http://en.espnf1.com...ory/136705.html  as saying he is unsure if PDVSA wants to stay with him, possibly back another team, or none at all.  Until we see what PDVSA does then ???

It could be that PDVSA branding is staying on the Williams as they have a contract, and they will get to keep some of the money, but behind the scenes PDVSA will be paying the majority of its dollars to the team Pastor signs with.  He could just be setting up that scenario, knowing that's the way it must work.  Also Lotus already has Total, I wouldn't expect them to run 2 oil companies on their cars.

maldonado is just ego tripping ... everybody says he's basically bankrolling a team to get a ride, he's saying noooooooo I 'm not riding PDVSA's coattails, it's coincidence they decided to leave Williams when I left and it will be a coincidence if they end up sponsoring the same team I am driving for. I don't know what they will do, I am just a driver looking for a better drive on merit.

You guys are just choosing to focus on the preamble

So the unlucky person would be Hulk, yet again. Pity him -. he is tall, heavy, without a cash-rish sponsor, and does not work for free.
