I'm sure after 2016 Marquez tired of winning championships will go to Yamaha or Ducati like VR46 did and he's gonna try to keep winning with another bike.

After doing that, would be nice to see him try win the TT.

Thriling news huh?

Arent we all excited by the news that we know who the winner of the next 3 years GP's is?

I don't mind either way. Racing always has periods where one guy or team dominate. That doesn't mean the entire series is dull as there is often exciting battles elsewhere in the race. There are often years like this in racing, but it doesn't mean you should abandon watching it because Marquez keeps winning.

Excuse my hopelessly ignorant question, but is there a culture of road racing in Spain?

In these times it's good to know where to put your money. It's safer than having them in the bank

there is actually some evidence of road racing in Spain, they have a totally bonkers road race around the streets of somewhere, I rememeber MCN did a big thing about it a few years back when they bacame utterly obsessed with road racing, before realising like most of us do that its great once a year the rest of the tiem its fairly mundane like most racing.

is was like the old New Zealand races, and Imatra, hardly any protection, totally mad.

Just thought MM must have the balls to try something wild like that, not because it'd be a particularly popular feat in his country. AFAIK TT riders are almost exclusively British, but as the ultimate win-or-die motorcycle race it reminds me of bullfighting.

2 years for Marquez seems abruptly short.

Not really. You never know what can happen, especialy with the 2016 rules.

Plus that gives him the opportunity to renegociate his salary in 2 years.

Indeed.

It's great for him, less so for HRC.

Imagine the bucketload of money Marlboro will waive in front of Marc by early 2016.

I heard Marc will get a salary with this new contract around 20 millions Euros if he win the title, wow not bad a salary champ no doubt. Before he gains around 1,5 only. Anyway i have to confirm this yet.

Think Marquez might be beatable this weekend.

And to Sheepmachine, thanks. Only seen the TT, and I think I like this circuit better.

The surgery Dani had about a week ago could have something to do with the result.

I don't remember in recent MotoGP history anything like this, poles with 0.7 of a second, 5 out of 5... maybe Doohan in his best years like 1994 and 1997...but he had no opposition back those years (Cadalora in a Yamaha, Okada...). Now Marquez is competing against multi-world champions.

It must be near demoralizing for the field to see Marquez thrashing it every weekend.

Yeah, notice I posted that before he went berserk and proved again he was just playing with the field in practice.

Fantastic days racing at the North West 200, mixed weather but all races were great.

Hoping for good news regarding Simon Andrews, fella has the worst luck.

It's like what Casey Stoner would've been like if every race was held at Phillip Island.

Hard to say who's going to prove best of the Moto 2 rookies this year. After Vinales win, Salom and Folger are now starting to look very impressive as well.

Lowes could have a good race tomorrow from 10th - but his bike always looks so nervous - not sure whether its him or the bike.

Just looked at the bookies and Marquez domination is summed up by championship odds of 1/20 after just a handful of races - and the fact that they now list odds for a riders championship, but assuming Marquez wasn't there - never seen that before!

Really? I have found it really interesting to watch, though Kalio's win was a bit dominant, but I think other than Marquez, the talent in it this year is deeper than ever before.

Moto2 is actually becoming interesting.

Vinales has started off fairly strong and Salom is getting going. Both rookies and likely future MotoGP guys. Rabat, while probably not super special, is still proving to be quite talented.

Cortese is getting up to speed.

Folger is starting to perform.

And Lowes looks pretty strong as well for a rookie to Grand Prix racing in general.

I see what you mean but for me the racing has been very strung out without much action. Get four or five riders at the front and I'm sure that will change.

Would rather see them homologate a few other engine brands though. Or better still, purpose-built 500cc racing twins. We can dream!

I saw it on William Hill, though others may be doing it as well. It's fairly easy to find on their website.

I'm guessing I shouldn't put a link to a gambling website on here though..

My money is on Miller, but I expect Marquez Jr. to come through and challange from P7. Will be a good one
