I would ask an help from the very competent members of this forum. I am collecting photos of five years 500cc world championship (from 1992 to 1996), and I am trying to have at least one photo of every rider who raced in each of these five years, even those that run only once, i.e. for a wild card, and someone of them maybe only in practice. The target was very difficult at the begin, expecially because the privateer riders were not so easy to find. But now there are only a few of them that I miss.
I go to the point.. I would ask if someone can have photos of these two riders from the British gp 1994 in Donington Park (in reality I miss some other, but I think british riders are easier to find here..).
One is Nick Hopkins, he toke part to the race with an Harris-Yamaha with his team Triton GB, the number is 73. I have only an image taken from a video, Nick is behind number 5 Luca Cadalora in this image before the start. He retired already in the first lap, after have signed the 17th time in practice.
the other is James Haydon, in 94 he made this single appearence in the 500wgp, as substitute rider on the ROC-Yamaha of the italian Team Elit. Since Marco Papa was injured, the italian rider Ermanno Bastianini was called as substitute in the Italian gp in Mugello and then in the French gp in Le Mans. But Bastianini himself injured in Le Mans, so James Haydon was signed as substitute of the substitute.. at Donington Park he raced with the number 39, for the colours of the bike i post a frames of Ermanno Bastianini in France
Haydon too retired in the first lap of the race, after a good 15th time in practice. Eventually, any other contribute about the other privateer riders in the 500cc is very precious for me too, if you have from the WGP in Donington during years from 92 to 96, or also the others gp.
