It‘s not a popularity contest, I‘m afraid. He‘s well in with the incestuous Coulthard/Franchiti clique, anyway, so will probably be eased into Dario‘s old car, which is a plumb seat and better for him than continuing to go nowhere in F1. If he can win DTM then he should be able to win Indycar given a top ride.

Same here; can't stand the guy, but to be fair he's a top 16 driver this year so 'deserves' a seat, but then so do plenty of others.

Sorry buddy, but internet petitions have rarely achieved anything. I'd like to see him stay in F1, but the Ganassi drive in Indycar would be a better deal than hanging on the periphery. It's a shame if Paul does leave though, as he's not the worst driver out of the ones running around to the music.

After the Anthony Hamilton saga I went off the guy.
He's a journey man driver that hasn't really done much in F1 and doesn't bring shed loads of sponsorship. He's had his opportunity and done nothing with it.

I like him, think that he's a very good driver but I would rather see him racing top machinery in IndyCar rather than stumbling at the back of the grid with a Caterham or Marussia in F1 (considering that no mid-fielder team in F1 seems to be interested in his lack of financial support right now)

I want Paul di Resta to stay in F1 but alas, "liking" a Facebook page is not going to make one bit of difference as to whether or not he does. Sadly I think Paul's days in F1 are numbered thanks to the teams' preference for pay drivers.

As with a few others I'd like to see him in an Indycar if not F1 purely to witness how enthusiastic and excitable he'll be in thanking Target and Chip Ganassi etc for giving him such a great race car after each race.

I think he's the new Nigel Mansell personally, not the driving talent but the whinging talent. When he nearly had pole at Spa he claimed all the credit but when anything went wrong it was everyone else's fault. I should maybe be happy Scotland had another F1 driver but he was one I just didn't care about sadly.

Pffft with the facebook nonsense. Even some fan raised cash couldn't save Kobyashi last season. As for the general content of this topic, di Resta is just the guy the kids in the forum playground like to pounce on; the above backslapping trolling being good evidence of that as the comedians compete to outdo each other with their sneering.
Obviously he deserves a seat in F1. But there are quite a few who deserved a seat and never made it, and there are quite a few who are now racing elsewhere who should definitely be on the grid, such as Glock and Kobayashi. There is however life outside F1, so a Ganassi drive in Indycar would probably be better than any available drive remaining on the F1 grid.
