I bought a Cooper T72 that has a dubious serial number and thusly an unknown past.  I have found a fair amount of information on what the car isn't.  Now armed with the serial numbers of the engine and transmission, Im hoping that some one can shed some more light on this car.  Any comments would be appreciated.

 

Car INCORRECT serial number that is on the bulkhead:  F3 17 64

The engine serial number is: MAE 650 501 

Gearbox serial number:  H6-122 PU
