I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THEIR ACTIONS this is a place to pay your respect!
Respect for what?
Kill yourself and potentially putting others in danger?

Am i right in thinking that no one here has ever broken a speed limit!?
What a load of BS!

If you want to discuss the implications of speeding and road racing I suggest a new thread in the Paddock Club.
RIP
Irrespective of the circumstances, this is some ones father, son, grandson and best friend! Someone who tried to make a difference in the world! So yes RESPECT, clearly a concept foreign to those up there on their moral high horse
I believe it is possible to do both:
Have an opinion about the apparent actions of the driver who appears (at least at this point) to have been doing speeds of 100 mph in a 45 mph zone AND express condolenences, respect for some other things they did in life. Doing what the driver apparently did in the US usually lands you in a 8 X 10 concrete box for a specified number of days. However, I will say there still seems to be this open question about a potential mechanical issue with the car, so still more to be analyzed.
Nevertheless, what also usually lands people in jail is drunk driving. What if a famous person and his friend smashed themselves into a pole and some trees after a bender when they have the means to call a cab, car service, etc? It would horrible, but after people express their sadness (or not) they would ask why did they get into a car drunk? I think we have the same combination here. People experienced and knowledgable in the dangers of speed (and imo should know better), taking liberties on a public road in a wreckless fashion.....and some how crashing into a pole and some trees.
Some poeple have zero tolerance for intoxicated drivers; some people have zero tolerance for speeding on a public roads; both valid points of view whether one agrees or not.

How much respect did these two have for other road users ?
Why is this thread still open?

This thread is so out of line
