Was at Pembrey VSCC do back in Sept-we took a looksee up the coast and visited Pendine-we were pleasantly surprised to find we were allowed to drive on the  famouse beach-we thought it a great place to stage a sprint -will mench to VSCC. Soon after our visit -come across a gaggle hotrodders in a couple mags sprinting along Pendine at an organised do- great stuff! Worth a visit to Pendine speed museum where Babs is holed up . Also there is the Amelia Earhart cafĂ© on the airport next to Pembrey race track- worth chomping on a full Welsh (not open on Sundays).

Pendine was used for racing as well as record attempts.  This ACU programme from 1929 refers to the Sands as "The Brooklands of Wales".  There were one mile sprints along with conventional races over 10, 20, 30 and 50 miles.

Were equivalent events organised for the car racers in this period. If so, who were the organising club(s)?
