Instead of just Sprint Cup, I propose a triple thread.
In 2014 we will have Lemans legal prototypes racing at Daytona for the first time in many years and there is no reason to keep the 2 wheelers out, even if they race later.
So let’s dig out the best in bricks, bikes, prototypes and face the winter knowing racing is just one less day around the corner.
Rules are:
- Number must be the days remaining to the race (duh!)
- Car or bike must have raced at Daytona, since USC is using ALMS and Grand-Am machinery you can post images of all legal classes from these series and of course cars from earlier eras when it was all less messy
- Autosport.com Clock is the official “reference watch”, to keep things clear and simple
- The number does not need to be at the “right” position or in a single vehicle
- You are free to create a sub countdown chain to the nationwide and truck races
- Moderators may overrule, delete, change, twist, bend or simply add the rules above and of course keep the usual spirit alive.
