Hello everyone.  :)

I will be in London from December 21th to January 5th... I was wondering if it's possible to visit the museum, or the factory, of any UK based F1 team.

Here in Italy, for example, we have the Ferrari Museum.

Any info ?

Thanks.

The Donington Collection is well-worth a look. I've not been for years though. Brooklands is good, too.

I don't know of any F1 teams with their own public museums though.

Donington Grand Prix Collection has a very good selection of F1 cars, although occasionally the best ones seem to be lent out elsewhere! It's relatively cheap too but the building is in need of a good refurbishment. Still, if it's the cars you're interested in it's great. I took my son as he was doing a project on Ayrton Senna & we got to see the Williams he tested in 1983, the MP4/5B, the FW16 (the MP4/8 was lent out!). So, well worth it, although a fair distance from London.

Is that what kids get to do at school these days?

We had to study people like Joan of Arc (jealous smiley)

The kids could choose their own topic so I *ahem* helped him with the selection process!

IMHO Donnington is one of teh great motorsports museums. It gets very little traffic being up near Derby so I always have this feeling its best to go every few years just in case.

I am not sure if they are doing a tour during your visit but classic team lotus do factory tours from time to time

McLaren have a superb collection at woking but getting acess  is , I suspect, very hard unless you have some very special reason.

Not such a difference, they both thought that God spoke to them.
