This is an odd looking car. I think it's rear engined but looks at first clance like mid-engined RS spyder with a 904 front roof section attached and then behind that an extended rear cabin with big rectrangular side windows and then the roof ends in a chopped off severely vertical rear backlite set between two flying buttresses that only extend out an inch or two. I think one is in the Porsche Museum.
OIn the internet site http://www.cartype.c...arrera_gt__1963
there are very good pictures of a restored one, so I know at least one of the two has been found and restored but I was wondering if the other one got away from Porsche for awhile and was found at a bargain price and restored and if there is a story on that discovery on the internet?
I;d also like an opinion on whether this came after the Abarth Carreras and was it any faster than those or lighter? I understand Porsche wasn't happy with the Abarth Porsches which is why they cut production off at 20 (some say 21).
