But maybe there is a correlation between their need for a musical outlet?

Please Lewis stop, I can defend your driving with some validity, but this
Posted 27 December 2013 - 18:34
Hamilton wants to be the first man to become a formula one world champion and have a number 1 chart hit. This way, his legacy'll be remembered forever.
I think he can do it.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 18:34
Never heard of Ana Lou .... but if its the same girl who is in this vid http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ycwJSfalRfM .... I would "duet" with her too
Posted 27 December 2013 - 18:49
I don't understand what problem people have with what some one else does in his spare time that doesn't effect anything else.
Wierd, making music is frowned upon, Kimi getting pissed and making a fool of himself is cheered?
F1 fans are wierd.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 18:51
I just clicked on the song .... its not bad .... If you didnt know it was him and got play on the radio, you would not notice it from the rest of the pop music out there today.
If they clean up the production and market as a proper song and not just as a novelty thing from an F1 Driver, this could actually be a minor hit...

Yea typical really. Having just heard the song myself , i have to admit it aint half bad i usually hate all that mainstream stuff but this is quite nice. Fair play Lewis

Why make your debut with this Ana Lou person? She seems to be fairly unknown and quite a bit trashy. Certainly not a Beyonce!
Unless she is the new Nicole?
Posted 27 December 2013 - 18:59
He really tests us as his fans doesn't he? I can't decide whether it's as annoying as Villeneuve's single or not...
Posted 27 December 2013 - 19:16
Ah this is not good, it makes my face ache.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 19:16
See, when I read the title I thought you meant he's shaved his head and has gone pootling around in tin-tops.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 19:19
I quite like her voice.

But then if he went with a Beyonce, wouldn't he be trashed for doing that?
Going with a talented unknown seems better when you're doing it for pleasure rather then for anything

I don't see why he should live his live to satisfy his fans, he's doing it for himself not for his fans.
Its only testing if you have a problem with it.
All in all I think its strange to make such a fuss over a harmless past time, that is actually respectable.

Errm... who cares?
"F1 driver in harmless pastime shocker."
Next you'll be telling us an F1 driver has opened a museum to himself or spends his time riding his bike through water and running aimlessly about.Or getting pissed.

He has a good voice - the falsetto was cool for a phrase, but the entire verse in falsetto didn't work for me. She also has a nice voice - I've only heard her rap, so the hoarse quality was unexpected.
Track was nice overall for a demo - I like the vocal arrangement. It would be greatly improved by drum/bass, production, but a pretty nice guitar sound and effects.
ps. edited to add - JP, have to disagree with your title - have you sat thru JV's acceptaerais tu?

You can't get a number 1 hit without sitting on a wrecking ball nacked.
S*xism beats talent
Posted 27 December 2013 - 20:36
True that.
I'm not sure people know what music really is. I'm not even sure they know what it's FOR!
Posted 27 December 2013 - 20:36
Autotune, traction control for singers.

I have no problem with him having a hobby, but he's only got recorded and released it because he's famous.

So it's artistic honesty of the piece you have a problem with. How terribly gauche of you!

But then someone slated him for recording with an unknown rather then a big star, you can't please everyone

Awkward.

Very nice Lewis!
I was really surprised to hear how well his voice sounds, and, along with Ana Lou, make a nice duet.
Despite the criticism you get in some quarters for hanging around with musicians, Lewis, you obviously have some musical talent to go along with your driving Brilliance!
Ready to hear Track 2!
Posted 27 December 2013 - 21:13
I like the song
As long as it doesn't distract him from F1, why can't he do whatever he wants? It's not like it's something dangerous that could endanger his F1 career.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 21:41
I can already hear the Stirlings and the Jackies of the old F1 world go:
'Lewis, leave the singing and the dog at home and focus on beating Vettel,' quickly followed by 'It's a shame drivers don't show more of their personality. In my day everyone had charisma of over 100.'
As for the song... let's just say I like black metal.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 21:50
He is quite laid back on the beat. Very laid back I'd say.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 21:52
At some parts it sounds like Lewis lost his balls, which would be a shame.

These guys (esp Jackie) are certainly not ones to talk - Jackie was always hobnobbing with celebs from various disciplines and was balancing a whole slew of non-driving activities even the height of his career...

Than replace that with the Brundles, the Herberts, the Watsons and the Jordans.

Hamilton's vocal has been put through a Harmoniser to tidy up all the bum notes. Pathetic!

Its put thru a vocal harmoniser for christ sake! Please don't fall for the same stupid trick that all the kids are falling for in the world right now.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:25
I actually like this song, the beat itself is nice but it's weird hearing Lewis with such a really high pitched voice haha
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:25
Why not to do that. I'm glad he's got the balls to do it since what I've understood he's been wanting to do that for a while. I don't like the song but he can do whatever he wants. (except all those million things forbidden in the contract...)

No no no you've got it all wrong if he had the balls he would sing it and not have it run through a machine that tidies every note to the nearest chosen note resolution using a harmoniser!!
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:33
As far as I can tell it's not his song and he didn't produce it. Not the sort of thing I'd listen to, and I won't be again, so I'll leave you lot to your assorted angst.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:34
Perhaps he's trying to make a point to Sebastian Vettel fans, anyone can 'sing' if your 'voice' is put through complex electronic systems to correct any performance flaws.

after listening to the part starting at 2:22, (Lazy and) I would argue with that.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:46
I just think he wants to take some heat off the V6 sound...
Posted 27 December 2013 - 22:57
He should hire Andrew Hope for some rap flows.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 23:23
The song is pretty chill actually. Had you not told me it's Lewis singing I wouldn't have known. As far at auto-tune goes, all pop stars use it. Try listening to Kesha, Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears live and you'll find out.
Posted 27 December 2013 - 23:42
Is that Lewis trying to do that high-pitched R&B voice there?
Is it?
Please, tell me its somebody else.
