What the hell is up with Roczen struggling into the main?  I had to follow it on Twitter - we have a delayed broadcast tonight and the friggen SX online simulcast at the website is not transmitting.   Anyway, twitter feed had me thinking he was off to LCQ - must be riding wild tonight...  Looks like JS7 and RV are on it, and BamBam too.   The race will be awesome, going to try to get the online up at supercross.com before then...

Awesome riding by JS7!!!  He is on it this year and that is great to see.  Ryan D is consistently plugging along as is Ryan V, but it is the others bringing the flair so far.  I expect they will too eventually.  Pity about Roczen stalling, but he was off it all night.

Good track actually, loved the hill up to the tight bend.

Thought RV was gonna walk it, but Stewart did really. Shame Tickle couldnt have taken out Barcia, nice to see someone give him some medicine.

Tricky track though, looked hard to pass on, and hard to cloe gaps, you are often left thinking that Dungey would win everything if the races were longer as he seems to most consistent, but that isnt the discipline here.

Ciancurilo is utterly dominant in Lites, bit boring, but let shope he moves straight up next year, though I think he might defend. Though he is obviously ready when you consider how Wilson and Seely are going on 450's, but fitness seems to issue, even with Barcia. They are quick early on and just fade right off every week.

Fitness (stamina) is a big issue for the 250 guys when they move up. I think the outdoor season really helps with them building the strength etc., because of the length of the races and the heat conditions. Ciancurillo seems really talented but the East Cst. Lites are a weaker field this year.

Anyone know why Christophe Pourcel vanished?

I agree shot

I think Andersone or Seely would give him a better race.

Is it maybe time to run a 250 lites full season with the 450's now, seeing as though most teams run a pair of outfits, or it wouldnt be tough for them too.

What has happened to Weimer?  he seems to thankfully have disappeared!!

What a race. If James had more of an ability to stay on 2 wheels during most of his career he would be untouchable and surpass Mcgrath.  I've never dislocated anything (only broken ribs) but with Adam C. , once you dislocate doesn't that tend to happen more and more?  Also,  where's Tomac?

Seems so after it popped out again in the main, but Lil' AC showed some heart, that kid earned a lot of respect from me after being super hyped and then a disappointment during the 2013 outdoor season. This year he has really laid it down.

I like the balls out JS7 attitude... checkers or wreckers... that's why he was/is so fast. His 2009 injury wasn't his fault and really damaged his career being away for long and also that JGR yamaha which was a terrible bike. He really struggled on it.

I'm glad he moved to suzuki even though it's not the same team as when decoster was there. I love my RMZ it turns on a dime. His back to back wins pulled me out of the F1 sadness till Malaysia.  Go js7 !!

I feel fortunate to be a witness for Stewart's success.  And, not even food poisoning can keep Villopoto from finishing the race in sixth-place.

Epic ride by JS, one of the best you will see, as Jeff said in comms, totally riding his own track, so much more adventurous than anyone else.

Doesnt always work, but its that attitude that makes hims special.

Amazing stuff from RV too, I would be ashsmed really to be someone like Roczen who is seemingly fully fit and got badly shown up by a guy in a very poor condition!!

No idea about Tomac or Canard for that matter, Honda seem to be really struggling in supercross these days, I reckon KTM will dump Dungey, and maybe he might sign for the big H, For me Anderson deserves a shot on a 450, clearly Weimer cant vut it either so Wilson should get that ride, but maybe Adam already has it?

Round 13 in St. Louis goes to Stewart.  The win is James' 50th of his career, congratulations!

So happy for JS7!  He is really on it and I hope he keeps it up!  What a sick season we will be in for if he does - I expect exciting times toward the end.  RV has been a bit off his game, but I don't expect that to last.

Meanwhile, Roczen is still kicking along the rookie front and looking pretty good.  He's seemed a bit off lately too - interesting bit about moving to Florida and not having his Dad around - not sure why that is how it seems to always go with these guys - RV, JS - the same thing, lol.  Anyway, hopefully that tightens up.  But he'll shine - he always has - just has to get papa back on track, that man has been around as real support forever.

What was Barcia up to in that heat race?  I keep thinking he is going to get in the groove, but I suppose he is bent on cutting his own.  That's okay, as long as he doesn't take anyone out along the way.  Ryan D looked strong - too bad about the end, but we've a long way to go yet, so no tears yet.  So sad for Adam C - he was a riot out there.  But he'll come back strong next season.

All in all a great time in St. Louis!

Round 14 to Ryan Villopoto.  The announcer (sorry I can't recall who) said Ryan can lock-up the title in Seattle next week.

That is amazing - lock up the title next week already.  Kind of sad because it means the season is coming to an end sooner than later.  Still, another great run by Ryan - if not as stellar as some other seasons, he got the job done with consistency and a hell of a lot of talent.

So happy to see the resurgence of JS7.  Also good to see Dungey get a little aggression going on and of course, Roczen's first 450 run, like every start he's had in series going back to Europe, was an awesome start.

 :D

Davi Milsaps sighting last night! In case ya'll fast forwarded past it (I almost did, can't stand Ralph talking between heats) he said he's been on a bike for a few weeks now and he might be back in time for Las Vegas SX. If not then he'll for sure be 100% ready by Glen Helen.

And yes, that's the most exciting thing that I took away from Saturday evening. Bummer that Barcia was the second best because it meant that the guys capable of challenging RV had issues. James looked how he said he felt and Dungey had a bad start that turned worse. Roczen has gone off that early season boil.

Good to see Father Canard back, not a bad performance either.

Congratulations Champion!!!!  VILLOPOTO does it again!

What a beast!!!  Great season for him.

Good to see Roczen coming alive here at the end again.  Bring it on!!  Looking forward to his 2015!

Is JS7 okay?  Hopefully so.  He was coming on for a minute, exciting stuff.

Ryan D needs to pick it up, and I have confidence he will - he was bringing on the aggression this season!

I LOVE SX!!!

Quick question - I've not followed SX since the McGrath era, so...

Am I seeing Stewart triple jumps/whoops?  Is that "common" now?

A person I know said something about some device used something like a boost switch...?

I dont thin'k there are any aids to riders in Supercross.

The things you are talking about are ismply evolutions in riding style.

Bubba was the man who invented the Bubba scrub, a realy low whip across the top of a jump than enables you to take it at speed and get on your wheels quicker.

Modern tracks have evolved with the riders, so now you often have more than one whoop section as it is acknowledged as the toughest part of any track.

As the track degrades it is sometimes possible for the riders to develop the whoops into a small rhythm section rather than taking the risk of going through the whoops, so you might double it three times rather than taking it as a whoop section.

In terms of jump sizes, the trend this year from track designers is to encourage quads!!  So you get a big kicker and in an area you might double double, they are getting so much drive they are trying to quad the section, it's pretty tough to do it and guys will often only try it in practice then roll it out in a main, but when it happens its pretty cool.

A lot of guys tried it, Dungey, Stewart and Barcia, but interestingly RV never seemed interested!  Funny that.

Its weird really, motocross bikes sound insanely powerful, but in reality they only ave aout 45-50 hp tops!

I know its a lot in a small package, but really its not huge power by sports bike standards!

What the hell is wrong with James Stewart?
