Just received these three photos this morning in the post

A friend of a friend has just found lots and lots of images in his late father's effects

Never have these been seen

Here are three which have been donated for our next charity auction later in the year

Some faces are obvious but I would appreciate chapter & verse please..thank you

British GP 1969. Siffert looking puzzled in the first one. Second is Hill contemplating some sort of minor tweak to his 49 after having told Chunky where he can stick the 63. Third one, Piers exiting his Brabham: Frank Williams probably chasing sponsorship or some free spare parts ...

Bob Sparshott is sitting in the drivers seat while Hill contemplates a 2lb change to the rear spring rates...

Is that Piers Courage getting out of the Frank Williams (2nd from right) car?

The nose of the Walker Lotus is covered in tape and there are no fins.  Siffert had broken it in the French Grand Prix and practiced like that at Silverstone until a replacement arrived

The big white decal with "P. COURAGE" slapped on the Brabham tells me that the third photo was probably also taken at Silverstone, although the Porsche decal on the van in the background makes me think it might have been taken shortly after the team arrived at the Nurburgring instead.

I think they may be bleeding the brakes in photo 2; the caps are off the reservoirs.

Great pieces of history. :)

It is not Bob Sparshott in that photo, he wasn't with the team in 1969. I should know who it is but can't recall OTTOMH. Derek Mower (Joe90) just on the edge of shot.

Derek Mower....who did he work for ?

'Joe 90' because of the specs I presume !

EDIT: found him on Google

And Dieter Stappert third from right, possibly Peter Wyss right behind Seppi.

Which Peter Wyss?

In 1969 the journo was barely 14 years old, the designer even younger (just 11).

I remember Dieter Stappert being taller. The person in the picture seems to be even shorter than Jo Siffert.

I can´t help myself but the young lad with the funny hat on the far left reminds me of a young Lord Alexander Hesketh

Well, I was thinking of the journo, but was obviously wrong! Ditto about Stappert then, too?

Ref Photo 2....mechanics

This from Clive Chapman

Apparently it’s Graham Bartels in the cockpit and Derek Mower with the specs (aka Joe Ninety).

Cheers!
