Gus Schrader #27 or #5 Offy was owned by Peaches Cambell back in the 40's.  My name is Bill Anderson and W.T. Anderson who was one of the drivers killed in the car was my dad's cousin.  I am looking for the car.  I have heard it has been seen at some antique races.  If anyone knows anything about it I would appreciate info.  Thanks

Hello Bill, and welcome to this forum!

The Gus Schrader/Offy was, I believe, restored by the late Chuck Davis, many, many years ago (I want to say eighties??). It was featured in a magazine article at the time which I'm sure I have somewhere... Anyway, I'm also pretty sure he sold the car before his death. When I had a chance to visit the remains of his former collection three years ago, there was no sign of it, and I didn't enquire (there was enough left to capture my interest!). His son, Chuck Davis junior may know, or maybe shop foreman Dave Hentschel. Maybe someone has seen the car recently. Good luck with your hunt!
