I believe this year is the last under the present agreement between the various levels of government, city tourism organization and Bernie. Does anyone have an update on negotiations for 2015 and beyond? Thanks.

There hasn't been anything mentioned in the local press here. I would expect news once the season gets underway, if not close to the GP itself. I don't think Bernie's top priority at the moment is signing a new Canadian GP deal.

Seems every few years theres the talk of the Canadian Grand Prix falling off the calendar/not continuing. I think it will stay, they always find a way to keep it on. If its a financial problem maybe they will alternate it with that Jersey race.

It will probably go. Pessimistic - yes.

I think Bernie's interest in it depends on how the New Jersey (non-) event progresses... It's a popular race with a big crowd in a vibrant city and crucially it's a race on the eastern side of North America... if the Texas race attracts fans from Mexico and further, you have to think that the Canadian race will attract fans from New York/Boston/Philadelphia/Cleveland/Pittsburgh and beyond.

It'll stay... it makes too much sense not to at the moment. If New Jersey ever happens, then start to be worried IMO.

Exactly. Montreal isn't going anywhere.Too many positives. Even if NJ gets a GP.

Would be a real shame if it went, for me it's like Silverstone, Monza, Spa, Monaco, Suzuka, etc; should be a permanent fixture.
