Should be mandatory that the broken noses should be replaced?
Breaking the protuberances in race might give an aero advantage...

I mentioned this in the TR thread, in the first pit stop teams could create a devise that chops the nose end off?

That would be illegal. But an accident is in a grey zone.
I wonder also if that pieces shouldn't be replaceable instead of belonging to the whole wing.

It would be a simple circumcision.
Or TPs could tell their drivers to knock each others noses off?

Which will undoubtedly have hilarious consequences (for us, not the team).

Considering that it's a crash structure, I doubt that it would be easy to break the nose.

I don't see what it would do. The nose-tip on the Toro Rosso looks fairly aerodynamically neutral. You'd just be adding a blunt start to the nose and possibly a hole. How is that an improvement?

The noses are part of the crash structure and provide less safety if damaged or removed. The FIA would be well within their rights to black or black & orange a car if a team did this. It's possible that with the way the sport is run, this might happen for a race or two if it really does provide a benefit, but they will clamp down on it and the team which did it will be called cheaty cheaters for a while before we all forget.
And please can you leave out the nob gags already?

such a nose that would break and be chopped off "nicely" shouldnt pass crash test in the first place i'd think, but some team might put some trick in there, i dont know.
