Because what you want to do is drive fast on arguably the most lethal closed-course in the world, with civilian traffic, in shorts and a tshirt.

While angry.

He should try proper racing where you can have a 50 minute practice session on a track that takes a minute to circulate and still not be able to get a clear lap without traffic.  :drunk:

Yes. Unlike this guy, who finally after 118 attempts made a sub-10-minute BTG lap in a diesel Citroën AX

Both of them are nuts IMHO for doing it without a cage

Two cars hit roos today. The Lambo did not continue. I feel the supp regs should include mandatory roo bars!  Or at least Shuroo devices.

It occurred to me today that the gentleman in the Citroen AX probably came fairly close (albeit guesswork, since the AX used an unofficial BTG time of 09:55, thus not directly comparable; I think the timing positions were not the same) to beating Jeremy Clarkson's infamous and much-ridiculed lap in the Jaguar. Pretty impressive really given the massive (probably overstated and fairly tired) 52hp diesel

I particularly like the BTG guy's comment about knackered joints. True wisdom that is undoubtedly ignored by most
