What happened to the car of Dick Seaman after his fatal crash in Spa? Was it rebuild by the Factory or did they scrap it?

On the existing photos of the wreck it seems likely that the engine had not been damaged.

With apologies to Our Doug if I have copied any information incorrectly. Once again: Pity the poor historian...

These indicate that engine M154/H14 was in the Seaman car at Spa, and was used again at the German GP and also in Argentina in 1951. There's no mention of chassis 5 after Spa - the assumption is that it was scrapped.

Chassis scrapped - re-usable high value components salvaged where possible.
