“I am really looking forward to the season ahead with Porsche, and with a later start to that championship in April, it gives me an opportunity to return to Melbourne and have some fun from the other side of the fence."

I wonder what other dark secrets will he reveal after the Brit Exposure?

For the love of all that's holy, get him a little bit drunk before the race starts. Just enough.

He's definitely going to bring up how Ferrari wanted him so bad.

Would've been fun and amusing if they send him out as the interviewer on the pit straight which I doubt

Yay, thanks for the nice news, st99!

 I literally laughed out loud.  Thanks for that.  :)

Great I guess that is confirmation of no Brundle/Crofty/sky commentary?

2 hours of Webber sitting on a stage under bright lights awkwardly fending off Greg Rust's unrequited lust, I think I'll pass.

Whatever happens, it'll only be the first race.

I expect Webber to struggle a bit with the commentating at the start, but then gradually get into the groove as the race unfolds.

Yep they will use the whole weekend as an advertising campaign parading contestants for their 2014 morning, reality and cooking shows. I am sure I'm singing to the choir here but the last few years have been truly horrendous broadcasts for Australian F1 fans.

Steam the BBC (if it's a BBC race, or alternatives if not).  Or just stream the commentary and mute Ten's.

Yeah I am on top of it being a diehard but feel sorry for those who don't know how to cut through all the bs.

Couldn't sleep last night. Got up ,had a drink and thought I would watch some moronic late nite TV to get myself back to sleep. Flicked on to Channel One and what the ....a documentary on the design, development and pre season testing of this years Ferrari F14T ! Yep, good old Ten/ One didn't mention a word about this during the Oz GP telecast, as they were too busy keeping us updated about the goings on of all their celebs all day, and then they go and put an F1 doco on at 1.40 in the morning. Only got to see the last 15 minutes. Checked their website to see if the doco "Horse Power" was available to view on line . Nope. Only cute baby polar bears and breast cancer. Thanks Rusty, thanks Daz, thanks Ten. Another year of F1 broadcasting and nothing has changed!

I found a link quite easily to the doco. Not sure if I should post it in case it gets shut down.

On topic, I thought Mark Webber did a fantastic job as part of the broadcast team. Some great insight.

If it's legitimate it's fine isn't it? But if it's shonky don't do it.

Is it through the ten/one website?

That was shown on the morning/day of the GP race (in Melbourne). Forgot what time though.

Did I miss something, or was Webber only on TV on the Saturday (and in super hyped up mode)?

I also think he did give very good insight. I remember little now, but he made very good comments.

He certainly was "wired"...I kept on saying to myself "Mark! calm down, stop shouting!"

As for the Australian coverage...cringeworthy is I think the right adjective
