At various points in the 1950s and 1960s, there were WDCs where the main contenders were all from the same country, usually Italy or Britain.

Could it ever happen again?

At the moment the only two countries - Germany and Britain - could muster the drivers needed.  Does anyone think we could see a full on Button v Hamilton or Vettel v Rosberg v Hulkenberg fight in the future?

Oh, and before someone shoots me, I forgot about Finland.  Add Kimi and Bottas to the above.

Hamilton and Button are the most probable.

For this season probably... Vettel and Rosberg is another one.

I agree. We're more likely to see the title battle come down to Marcus Ericsson versus the ghost of Ronnie Peterson than Vettel and Rosberg fighting it out this year.

My money's on Ronnie..
