A big loss...
I spoke to him fifteen or so years ago, he freely gave me details about how he created the 'Tornado' ohv conversion for the Ford V8, how he fitted it into a boat, how it finished up on the bottom of the (shallow) Albert Park lake and then moved on into the car.
When I spoke to him, however, he wasn't in Australia. He was in Hawaii competing in a yacht race!
Quite a man.
