I am about to start illustrations of:

1986 Lotus Renault F1

1974 Ferrari 312/3, F1

1974 VPJ Lola T332 F5000

1992 Benetton B191B

The main information I am looking to find are engineering/draughtsman drawings of the wheels so that I can produce a cutaway of the tyre and wheel showing hub and brake set ups.

The Lotus had Dymag wheels on, no idea on the others as no marking visible.

Any help would be appreciated and any other information that would add interest and detail would be fantastic.  I have taken around 200 photos of each car with panels and wheels on and off to get started with.

Previous examples are here, http://www.race-car-...strations.co.uk
Regards

Roy

I like the cutaway drawing very much - they appear more straightforward and simpler than most work of this kind - and thus easier to take in.

For some reason the link in the text body for me just leads back to this page. The link in your signature (which we aren't supposed to use here but I won't tell--I don't mind) however works for me.

Here's a direct link to one of the drawings-- https://hubgarage.s3...ne_work_web.jpg  Nice!
