H e l l o !
Welcome to F1 Pools 2014!
A glance at the forum front page revealed that all the superstar game hosts here have their games up and running for the 2014 F1 season so I figured this would be a good time for me, too, to get this baby rolling.
The last time you saw me, I was probably bitching about the forum software that refused to play ball with my browser and had killed off my smilies (among other things). Well, after six months of forums (fora?) that are neither functional nor decorative, I finally got the hint and switched browsers. Now this thing's usable again but I'm still struggling with some of the post editing options. Basically, some of the stuff that used to work on the old forum no longer does. With that in mind, feel free to let me know if my posts look all wonky; it seems that sometimes stuff looks fine on my screen but when I post it... I just copy&pasted an old post from a few months ago and the formatting seemed to change somewhere between copy and paste. Hmmm. I'll try and figure this out at some point but right now I'll settle for readable.
Game rules are hiding under the spoiler tags below. I chose to hide them because they're sort of annoying to look at if you no longer need them. And many of you don't because nothing's changed. If you knew what to do last year or the year before, you're good to go. If, however, this is your first encounter with F1 Pools, you'll probably find the rules helpful (click 'Show').
Here's the first - and hopefully readable - set of duels for the new season:
F1 Pools 2014: Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix - Round 1
Qualifying: Race: 1. Red Bull - Caterham 7. Red Bull - Caterham 2. Lotus - Ferrari 8. Lotus - Ferrari 3. Marussia - McLaren 9. Marussia - McLaren 4. Toro Rosso - Force India 10. Toro Rosso - Force India 5. Mercedes - Williams 11. Mercedes - Williams 6. Sauber - Red Bull 12. Sauber - Red Bull
Post your guesses before the start of qualifying.
I'm not really picky about the format you choose to use but something along the lines of 'XXX 12X 22X 12X' would be great. As long as it's clear what you mean, it's OK.
So, guess away! Good luck!
