Hi - Who knows Phil Threshie?
Phil Threshie finished 30th in the Indy 500 1978 and 17th in 1979. 1980 and 1981 he failed to qualify. Founder of 928 Developments and now works with Porsche as a car designer and developer. A highly regarded car tuner and modifier, he also ran his own motorsports restoration company for some while. Also does marketing for his brother's architectural firm.

Perhaps has anyone got his actual postal address? I just want to send him a letter.

I am very grateful for your help. Regards from Vienna - Alfred

Your info is presumably from the old posts at TrackForum? He's on LinkedIn, but there seems to be nothing since 2010 there, and I also found a blog, which looks to have been abandoned about two years ago:

It appears he now lives in or around Colorado Springs:

No, Richard - the info about Threshie has been lifted from his WATN page without any credit or link.

Alfred, I don’t really understand your query. You asked the same question in 2008, you got an answer (address & email) from Chris Townsend, yet you repeated your query two years later http://forums.autosp...-500-1978-1979/ and now once again.

Have Chris’s infos been useless?

Unfortunately it seems you rarely tell us what the outcome of your questions is.

And: Did you search Phil Threshie on radaris.com or a similar site?

In an instant it would lead you to something like this: https://www.everyone...son/15305508394

I think that's actually his son, Reinhard. MyLife apparently has details of his Colorado Springs address, but I wasn't inclined to shell out any money to find out!

Which you perhaps got from our friend the late Earl Ma? He posted that at TrackForum eleven years ago. The two links I posted seem more up-to-date.

I know that radaris.com has its fair share of errors.

But http://radaris.com/~...eshie/116346201 gives the correct age (60 at the moment) to the Truckee resident.

It isn't helpful if parents name their son after his father who has been named (and so on)... ;)

Yes, that may be him, but at a previous address. I did find another CA address on WhitePages, but the Colorado stuff looks more recent. The problem I find with Radaris - and a lot of other directory sites - is that they don't seem to ever recheck and just regurgitate the same stuff ad infinitum. If you were to believe Spokeo, ABC, Intelius, USA People Search, Radaris, Background Finder and Yasni (to name but seven!) you'd be under the impression that Dick Seaman's widow was still alive ... most still have entries for her third husband too - and he died in 1976!

Yes, partly, which I did - and still do - give him credit for. But I do get irked when text is just completely lifted from the site with no mention of where it comes from, and lthen the impression it is then given like it comes from the OP.

Thanks for the recent link anyway, I'll update the site accordingly.
