Omnicorse reporting that Zoran Stefanović is looking to take over Marussia to finally get Stefan GP on the grid. Apparently, the talks started last November as Marussia's Nikolay Fomenko is losing interest in F1 due to the increased spending. Apparently, Rubens is linked with these rumours. Also, the report says Stefanović has withdrawn the bid to enter F1 in 2015 with a new entry.

Although I am inclined to say I think the Queen will be working for Tesco before this happens, I will never say never. I look forward to another 10 years of Stefan GP claims and scoops. :)

How could Rubens be linked, returning to F1 after being 3 years away? (Same as Schumi). Sounds like a shady investment, don't know who is responsible for that rumour.

These muppets again? Zoran isn't going to be running a snail race, let alone a Formula One team. What made up company is meant to be supporting him this time?

Sounds about as credible as the Quantum billions turning Lotus into the dominant F1 team

I don't think the FIA are going to grant this clown access to the paddock even if he sets another team up, I say another but he printed a few t shirts, leaked some test car pictures and ripped a load of people off last time. He's nearly as corrupt as Bernie and Murdoch, he won't be allowed any where near, or will he?

A double Indy 500 winner on the grid would be awesome.

Having an F1 team generally is. I think Tony Fernandes and whoever the buck stops with at Genii can attest to that.

Rubens? As an investor maybe. But as a driver? Common...he's so yesterday and full of complaints..

I don't understand how Marussia is actually on the grid itself, how many cars does the parent company actually sell? How is it any less of a scam company than Stefan?

I stumbled upon a Marussia show room about 4 or so years ago and as far as I know it hasn't progressed beyond that.

If well known money men like Milan Jankovic (Zepter) or Miroslav Miskovic were linked to investing in motorsport then you'd pay attention but Stefanovic is an obscure personality in Serbia. He does appear to be pretty well connected though.

So, according to Omnicorse via GMM, Stefan GP had to pull out because they couldn't agree on an engine deal. And whose fault is that? The others'!

"Our view is that everyone should play the game on the same field," he said, "but we were not able to close a contract for the supply of an engine with one of the existing manufacturers, and we talked for a long time with all of them.

"Since we did not reach an agreement on the power unit, our participation was compromised and we were forced to stop in the middle of the selection process," said Stefanovich.

"There was no equality of treatment," he complained, "but we do have a future in F1."

I'm not sure that last sentence is supposed to sound threatening.
