I have a pair of, I think, '61 Indycars made by Japanese company 'Yonezawa'. The cars are around 9" long and they are powered by batteries that are housed in a centre tower that both cars are tethered off. Each car has it's own speed controller. I have seen the same cars on various sites but none that are tethered like these. If anyone out there would have any info on these cars it would be great to hear from you. Cheers Steve.

I found this link:

Are these the cars you have? If so, I believe they represent two cars from the 1961 Indy 500, #1, AJ Foyt (1st), #41, Johnny Boyd (21st).

Hi Vince, thanks for the reply. The car set in the link is 100% the same as the set that I have. Unfortunately mine are not in as good of a condition as the set in the link. My #1 car is in good condition but the #41 has surface rust on the bonnet (hood, as I'm in Australia). The battery tower has been internally rusted I think because of the old type of batteries that were used in those days. Are these sets worth much? I am thinking of selling my set as I have a 1938 chev pick up that I am hot rodding (every dollar helps). Cheers Steve........
