I decided to shock the gaming world and post the first batch of this year's results a mere two weeks after the season opener. Yay, me! 

 

Just like last year and the year before, I'm not going to bother with individual results threads after each GP but will keep updating this post/thread throughout the season.

 

So, onwards to the results from round 1...

 

 

Round 1: Australia

 

The first 25-point haul of the season goes to M2000-5 who qualifies on pole and then proceeds to control the race from the front. Congrats!  Makarias bullies his way past dnbn and kismet (AKA yours truly) in the final corner and finishes second. Full results below:

Had some technical problems with my spreadsheet thingy but I've quadruple-checked my math and these should be correct. Congrats to F1 Pools Hall of Famer dnbn who dominates in Malaysia and follows his third place in Australia with a comfortable win. Anderis records another points finish to go with his 9th place from the season opener and Makarias continues his strong early season with another podium finish. Well done, everyone!

Basically, with one GP to go, the championship title is still up for grabs and, again, it's a two-horse race between dnbn and scheivlak. Everyone else is mathematically out of the running. No double points here.

Yes, it would be possible, and I used to do just that. I'm not sure why I stopped in the first place but, knowing me, laziness is probably as good a guess as any.

Just letting you know that I've now updated the results all the way to Singapore. Overall standings are still in Germany but I'm thinking of doing something about that while I watch Barcelona vs. whomever they're playing tonight. Let's see how that goes.

I've updated the opening post with results from rounds 15-17. I'm currently debating with myself whether I want to be a goody two-shoes (ha, as if!) and still add the missing Brazilian round today but I'm leaning towards 'nah, I'll do that tomorrow'.

In terms of Overall Standings, this means that F1 Pools Hall Of Fame resident scheivlak overtakes his arch rival and fellow Hall Of Famer dnbn at the last moment possible and claims this year's F1 Pools title. I'm going to need to check how many titles those two have between them but it feels like it must be a lot. Congrats!

 

Meanwhile, in the Hall of Not So Famous, yours truly ends the season convincingly with zero points and loses her seemingly secure third place to Apex. Yay!
