This photo given to me by Nick Loudon of G Hill ( I got it signed by his boy) at Goodwood Easter 1963

It will be auctioned for charity in September

I asked Lord March to sign it at FOS last year but he said he was too busy.

I will try again.

Could I be told the BRM Type and names of the people around it

A few I know

I understand the current Lord March is on the extreme left with his Dad ?

According to DCN's bible the car was BRM P578 chassis 5785, known as 'the lightweight', fitted with engine 5620. Graham put the car on pole and led the race from laps 4 - 36. The car then experienced fuel feed problems and failed to finish the race, eventually being classified 9th.

I stand to be corrected but the mechanic with overalls/moustache/tie behind and to the left of RM looks like John Sismey; in sunglasses and wooly hat looks like Maurice Trintignant; possible Ken Richardson next to him; and the stocky mechanic with his hand on the rear tyre is likely Dennis Perkins.

Yes, I think you're right on Trintignant, Paul. Extraordinarily, the chap you've identified as Ken Richardson looks remarkably like my late father (even down to having his hair parted on the right) - but unless there's a significant gap in my knowledge he never visited Goodwood!

Here's a photo that is Ken Richardson - does the clearer image remove the likeness?

I can't see Ken Richardson on there, wasn't he with Standard-Triumph by this time? He applied for the job of service director at Charles Garages  in 1965/66(?)

Your post had not come up when I posted V2 meme Allan

It's highly unlikely to be Trintignant. There were two F1 races held over Easter 1963, and Maurice was racing at Pau.

I am  sure that is not my dad Dennis Perkins on the back wheel. As far as I know he never wore a flat cap .

I keep thinking the fourth from left is Louis Stanley... does that make sense?
