Its no secret that Lotus is doing terrible, if they don't make it to the grid in Australia next season were these drivers are gonna end up?

Probably PM has a better chance because he got a big sponsor maybe McLaren who knows and Grosjean he will probably will end up out of F1.

Why would McLaren ever hire Maldonado?

Well grosjean was nearly in the points last time out so I won't write them off just yet. It is heartbreaking to see them struggle so much though.

They had a really tough year in 2009 too and came back from it with Kubica in 2010, so I'm still hoping they can soldier on.

Because of sponsors maybe.

I think Grosjean has done enough towards the end of last season to be in the mix for other seats if Lotus evaporates. He might get pushed out by new talent arriving, but he has a fair chance of some of the midfield seats IMO.

Would be cool to see Romain Grosjean at Sauber.

Lotus will be around. Whole last year Quantum episode was just aimed for this, so that Mansoor Ijaz will get control over Lotus much cheaper... ;)

Grosjean is very fast and smart. He is a very talented (pure) racer. At this state of F1 he is unfortunately expendable. The less the driver has to say, the better for a team. They need puppets, because the engineers are doing the work. If the F1 changes drivers like Grosjean will become important again.

His place is at McLaren.

These drivers have given so many funny moments. Both arent smartest persons on the grid or best drivers but they know how to destroy cars. Its sad that they cant push hard with crappy Lotus.

So what were the guys holding him up in that picture using? Presumably luck too, just not enough of it.

Grosjean is now a top act. I could see him at Ferrari in the future. If Alonso and Raikkonen leave next year or the year after, I could see Hulkenberg & Grosjean there. Would be a great duo. Maldonado ruined his chances with talking down Williams.

When you look at William now (after the "Valeri is faster than you" incident), it is clear that this team is a joke. Now things are looking a little bit different from this perspective. I can imagine, that all what Maldo said last year, was true.

In the present situation he should only try to extract as much as he can, without making errors. Maybe he finds his place for the next year, but it will be very difficult. If not, I would advise him to try IndyCar. It would spice the show up.

As long as Maldonado still has PDVSA 30M $ backing, he will end up somewhere, for instance Sauber. They'd certainly be interested. They wanted to hire Maldonado already for this year, but he refused and their current line-up Sutil-Gutierrez isn't particularly strong, so they'd be happy to take Pastor.

Grosjean? His buddy Boullier is at McLaren now and Grosjean is a good enough driver to attract attention of a strong team, but there is a lot of competition for the McLaren seat and it may not work out for him. Especially if Vandoorne carries on having a fabulous GP2 season.

Don't see Grosjean in Mercedes or Red Bull. Maybe a very long shot at Ferrari after both Alonso and Raikkonen have retired, but that's still a few years away by which time a new generation may have emerged and pushed RoGro aside. Force India or Williams? Maybe if Williams decides to replace Massa with someone younger and a brighter future, then why not.

With the backing Maldonado should be able to get a seat at Force India or Sauber if he leaves Lotus. Could even return to Williams, they need the backing.

They better learn from this, keep it together and work towards better results and/or wait for better opportunities. The sport doesn’t owe them anything.

So Martini is just there for fun you mean? What nonsense. They don't need his backing anymore.

Who knows?

I think it would be desperately sad if we lost Grosjean from the grid.

I don't think Maldonado would be any loss to be honest.

I really hope Lotus can turn things around. Even if they can at least fight with Sauber and Toro Rosso.
