The McLaren MP4/4 with the driver pairing of Prost & Senna (alphabetical order) came close in 1988.

Only 3 races in to 2014 but the similarities are apparent, a totally dominant car with a stellar pair of drivers in Hamilton & Rosberg (again, alphabetical order).

So, can it be done, a clean sweep for the Mercedes team, winning every race on the calendar this year.

No one looks remotely close, if reliability can be preserved then ...............why not ?

The perfect car for 2015: A RedBull with a Merc in the back.

If anything, it is only Mercedes drivers who could get in each other's way... so yes, where are the people who were complaining about dominant cars ruining racing? RBR was that fast only in hands of Vettel in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and was nowhere near as reliable in 2010.</sarcasm>

Erm, i think this car will do one better than McLaren of '88. Can't see both engines giving up in the same race really. Heck what was scary today was that McLarens didn't finish, and if they had, Mercedes may be would have had 7 cars powered by their engines in top 10 easily.

There is no perfect car. However, the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 came darn close. Or Williams of 1992, Nigel's 14 poles.... Williams 1996 was a pure dominant display.

If Hamilton and Rosberg take each other out then I can see another team winning a race. Otherwise I see this team winning all of the races.
