Hi All,

My flight is due to arrive in Shanghai on Saturday morning, which means between that and checking in at the hotel, I won't have much time to get to the track.

Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get to the track form somewhere in central Shanghai via taxi?

If it's expensive, can you suggest any other alternate means of getting there on time?

Also.. anyone else planning on attending?

I guess you'd have found out this information by now, however, for anyone looking to attend next year, here's the answer:

One-way taxi journey:
• From Pudong International Airport to Downtown Shanghai: ¥200 / $35 / £25 / €30
• From Downtown Shanghai to the circuit: ¥250 / $45 / £30 / €35 (inclusive of ¥100 road tolls)
• From Pudong International Airport to the circuit: ¥400 / $70 / £50 / €60 (inclusive of ¥100 road tolls)

Thanks for your reply.

I also found that above bit of information before the weekend, but it is actually inaccurate as a taxi cost me around £15-£16 between downtown and the circut. However if you take a private taxi it can cost up to £40.

Saw on the F1 show there that you can get a train directly into the circuit.

For anyone going next year or thereafter, worth looking into.

The Shanghai Circuit metro station has been in service since just before the 2010 Chinese Grand Prix. From all the people I've heard from, this seems to be the best way to go to and from the track.

Thanks - I'm considering China, though probably 2017 is more likely than 2016. Malaysia is the other one I might do, but leaning towards China at the moment.
