They both stood at the top of the two biggest teams of the histrony of F1 (next to Williams) for quite a long time. Whitmarsh was sidelined and no one has heard bout him ever since.

Domenicali had the balls to step down on his own, kudos for him to recognize and admit publicly he wasn't the right person for Ferrari.

My questions are: Where can they take on a new job? They both were leading faled squads, it must be so hard to sink into a much lower position.  Where is Martin? It is impossible that not a single journo could catch him for a quick word at least.

It will be just like football managers, although on a smaller scale.  If a football team loses three or four games, the owners sack the manager.  This of course achieves nothing except to placate the more stupid of their team's fans and the ex-manager usually gets another job at a different club without much problem.

Anyone who thinks that sacking the manager/team principal will solve all the problems at a stroke needs therapy.

Just a quick note: I strongly believe RB were favoured by FIA for the last years. In 2012 Mercedes threatened FIA with pulling away from the F1, that is why a new engine formula was established which clearly favoured Mercedes since their experience in such technologies. I am pretty sure Ferrari will be favoured in a few years again.

Was he just sidelined or have more effective means been used? Anyone knows if he is still alive? Has the Dark Lord nulled and voided him in all ways possible? Did he get the boot into a black hole?

Me too. It would be weird to see Domenicali on another team. He has only works for Ferrari.

They have nowhere to go. Both of them are/were coming from within the respective teams they lead for a few years. Neither of them have restructured their teams when it was obviously needed. The teams they managed fell into steady decline under their reign. It is the end of the road for both SD and MW. Both seemed to be top blokes though.

SD will do something else for Ferrari.

MW will probably turn up at another team in a year.

Domenicalli, Whitmarsh and Brawn will get together, buy Marussia and be World champions in 2016. I know it.

Well, I don't want to be rude.

But if you replace Brawn, I just get a mental images of the 3 stooges then, Brawn is in a different league to them two I'm sorry to say.
