What went wrong with Mark?
Recurring rear suspension and front driveshaft issues that forced the car into the garage for a long while. (yes, FRONT driveshafts, the MGU-driven ones)

Although I had slight reservations about the change to a pay to watch system, I did purchase the season pack. Yesterday was the first time I got to use it as I was at in the wind at Silverstone but I have to say it really worked rather well. I did it twice, once through the laptop and once through the iPad, and then connected the laptop to the TV. Ran main feed and radio through the laptop and had on-boards, map and timing through the iPad. It worked really rather well for viewing purposes, the only thing was all three feeds were out of sync so the track map was about 10 seconds ahead of the on-boards which was about 10 seconds ahead of the main feed. Either way, I am not disappointed from my side, I just worry about new fans...
Also, do we know exactly what they'll do for Le Mans yet? Eurosport still hold the rights, but on the in-app purchase page it says "Le Mans is sold separately". I presume this means they'll do something...

Hah thats funny. Audi chose 2mj for more diesel fuel. Their choice gives them more fuel per lap with less hybrid power. The rules are rules. Each car gets a set amount of fuel energy dictated by flow, and electric or whatever energy. Theres no unfair advantage. They are all nearly equal in terms of total energy allowed.
Audi chose a system, and then the allowance for fuel flow and tank capacity were changed after , with more fuel flow and capacity for Toyota and Porsche, and less for Audi.

With these limits locked until after Le Mans, a cynic might suggest that the regulations were tweaked to try and get a non-Audi winner for the first time since 2009 - much like the breaks Toyota got in 2012/2013 in regards to when they could activate their 2wd hybrid system compared to Audi's 4wd.

Without getting into the technical side, Audi were always going to be on the back foot when they failed to get their 6MJ spec prepared in time.

The fuel regs are seriously flawed. Why should anyone punish you for building a more efficient engine?
WEC shouldn't use GT BOP bullshit.

Must admit not as totally despondent with Audi's performance as some others seem to be. Second is better than was expected and is very much a move in the right direction.

Yeah. It was suggested on RLM that they got faster as the temperatures dropped in the evening (not sure why it can't be that it was the circuit rubbering in that made the difference). So perhaps there's work to be done on the chassis and dynamics side and not some insurmountable problem with their engine philosophy. I think Porsche will struggle pulling a 24-hour race together but Toyota will be prepared for everything.
The low drag Audi in particular got much better as the race went on. The Davidson/Lapierre/Buemi entry has been unbelievably good this year though. I'm seriously entertaining the notion that it would've been interesting to see Buemi against Vettel in 2011.

Audi doesn't look that bad. Sure, you might consider that it was slower on the straights but in the end they didn't lose by much after a 6 hours race. Considering that Le Mans is 24 hours it really comes down to relaibility and likelyhood of accidents. It seems as Prosche is just too unreliable for Le Mans and so its down to Toyota vs Audi. I'd say that if we take random occurances into consideration (the aformentioned accidents and reliability) then the Audi actually is the favourite having 3 entries to Toyota's 2 entries.
