See all the F1 races in Lego:

I have made 3 races so far and still practicing making Stop Motion Video:

https://www.youtube....ser/MisterThead

The plan is to make Stop Motion Videos with IRL race highlights.

Please feedback so I can improve the video's and make them even greater  :stoned:

I like it. They used to sell various Ferrari and Williams sets years ago, maybe you could still find one, copy it and make more elaborate cars if you felt like it.

Really good videos. I like your attention to detail with the different nose styles.

If you feel like it, how about some classic F1, such as the battle between Villeneuve and Arnoux, Prost/Senna, Hill/Schumacher etc?

I really liked the Bahrain video with the camera man and the crocodile!

All very good, I'm sure with time it'll get even better.

The Gutierrez crash is the closest thing you'll get to authentic stop-motion Mortal Kombat with Legos. Total hotness.

Fantastico!

I was actually laughing out loud at the safety car and the wizard sweeping the track :-)

Excellent just need to dub some of the commentary in and do something about some of the background window's, radiators et al. infinitely more watchable than that over produced Toon drivel that one of the real teams produced a year or so ago.

Keep up the good work.

How boring would life be, without the people that have WAY too much time on their hands.

Seriously amazing stuff.  Speechless.

Thanks you all. And also thanks for subscribing.

I have tried audio but it just sounded unrealistic with my current editing skills. I'm still practicing. I also have to be careful with music and commentary because of copyright for Youtube.

Can't imagine the time it takes to put those together and the patience.

But maybe there is a audio F1 fan out there who you could team up with.. if the right circumstances that ever lined up..

Then again, I liked that comment someone said about accurately recreating the sound of this years engines.. :p

I agree that it wouldn't really work unless it was done properly.  You'd want the sound to add to it, not to cheapen it or make it cheesy.

I shouldn't worry too much about sounding 'realistic' ;)

The alternative would be to try dubbing in some royalty-free music from someone like Kevin MacLeod at Incomptech, and make it like the official F1 highlight videos.

The Bahrain edit is absolute gold, and offers more entertainment than FOM's edit!

You're a winner. Thanks for sharing!

It was very satisfying to see the attention to detail in the angles and debris of the "Kimi Crash" vid.  I LOL'ed at almost 2 a.m. with my wife in bed in the other room.

Little track details count for a lot.  The chicanes at Montreal were nice to see, Rosberg going through.  Relative car positioning is great, and track position in turns...

Please continue and know your work is appreciated.

Hey, if you could try to reproduce some of the camera angles FOM uses, that would be great... seems like you're maybe trying to in some shots...

Sound: the races these days are silent anyhow.... the only thing that would work would be if the actual sound was synced up...

Just brilliant!  Well done!  You should be knighted for this, I'm going to write to the queen this instant - even she must appreciate this, surely?

Maybe Bernie can get us some real crocs to "spice up the show".  Last over the line is dinner for 'ol toothy.  Or if you make any stupid winning gestures, you lose the hand.

I was a bit worried at the Austrian GP when the croco got hit, but he seems to have goten his payback at the end.

Outstanding job.

FOM camera angles are a bit difficult because of the weight and size of the camera. But I can always try more on-board shots.

I'm not a good sound editor (jet). If you can't do good sound then don't do it at all. If I see a youtube video and the dude is speaking with loads of (background) noise then I click within seconds.

I'm making a shot story about the wizard the witch the marshal and Crock. With every highlight video the story goes a bit further. I still have to name the first 3 characters, only the crocodile has a name (Crock). Anyone any idea's?

I concur on the sound.   What kind of camera are you using, a DSLR?  Do you have one of those small gorilla-pod tripods?

I'd like to see a Grand Prix style "traveling helicopter" shot, or a "camera buried on the track with the car tire going by" shots...  you can do it... :)

... and we need to start rallying FOM to include a track crocodile.  Not much crazier than Formula E "Fan boost" or DRS...

I'm planning a helicopter show system. I have some Lego train tracks that I can use to make a stable frame move above the track.

About the camera. I'm planning to make a making off video when the season is over. But  I don't have a good mike and I sound like Kimi Raikkonen when I do scripted talking so I'm thinking about a friend to interview me. Its work in progress.
