Maybe it was just me but it felt like forever finishing the last 100 laps. Good race though and its great to see Gordon get a win. With his luck the last handful of seasons, I was convinced something was going to happen to jinx it and he'd lose on a restart.

89 wins and counting. The announcers were talking 100, anyone thinks he gets there? I use to think he'd get it and maybe challenge Pearson for 2nd but he's tailed off quite a bit. He's winning about a race a year now. I say he probably finishes around 95 to 96 wins.

Too early to say IMO. Let's see what a carefree Jeff Gordon does.

Back about 1997  I figured Jeff passing Pearson in total wins was a lock (nobody will ever catch Richard's 200 wins) , but now I doubt Jeff  will even get to 100  . My guess is gonna be 92  totals wins  when all is said and done .

Jimmy Johnson has 66  so he may pass Jeff eventually and hit 100 wins  , but catching Pearson's 105 may also be slipping out of Jimmy's reach now.

Kyle Busch has 29 Sprint Cup wins and if ever gets his act totally together in the series he could be the one to catch Pearson.

not a bad race, as a Jeff Gordon fan very pleased to see him finally win a race this year- there were at least 2 others that slipped away due to late cautions...those last few laps were hard to watch. Also nice to see Smoke near the front for a change, he's been a tail end charlie for much of the year

In this era of parity with fields with many more potential race winning cars than in the past (even going back just a few years to Gordon's prime) it'll be harder for anyone to crank out 10-12 wins and take a big chunk out of the 100. Plus with the exception of Johnson the top drivers as a whole have been up and down - title contenders one year, inconsistent the next.

She did that in the NNS race in 2012 as well. Shame about losing the 4 positions during the yellow flag pitstops.
