This wasn't the classic some are making out though, which is why I replied to your post. I didn't rate it overly low but if we are saying this was anything over 7 then the same question you applied earlier could be asked of those rating it at that.
The result was never in serious doubt - Hamilton was always winning this race. We've seen endings like this in Spain in the past with little actually happening (2012 the most recent)
I gave it an 8 out of 10, but agree it wasn't a classic. If i thought it was a classic i would have given it a 10. I was merely making the point that anyone who gave it a 1 is rating it on a par with the most boring races of all time by definition. This is clearly nonsense and i suspect that it is motivated more by their dislike of the driver who won. Similarly, those who gave it a 10 were probably motivated by their support of Hamilton more so than anything else

I gave it 8 because it started off cold, started simmering and then went to a full boil right at the end.
I also scored it that highly because it's unusual for a Spanish GP to be anything but a little boring.

Best Driver - Vettel, great drive considering the issues he had this weekend. (Bottas and Grosjean not far behind)
Worst Driver - Maldonado
Best Team - Red Bull
Best Overtake - Not sure. I'll have to get back to you on that.
Best Moment - Rosberg vs Hamilton battle for the win
DRS + Tyres - Good
And the race in a sentence... Not great but not bad, decent race.
7/10

Pretty much what i was about to write, including the Monaco Historique bit.
I must have been watching a different race to alot of the raters in here. To me it was just a noah's ark of teams driving to thier fuel numbers and occasioanlly getting excited and pressing a button to fly past the person infront.
Rosberg vs Hamilton is not interesting as there is no fight here. Hamilton has already broken Nico. It's over.
Exactly there was actually very little fighting anywhere, but hey the Spanish GP for you. Only difference is 3 of the 4 races prior to it have also been just as boring. I don't think there is anyone on this forum who thinks Nico is going to get the better of Hamilton. it would of been five in a row for Hamilton if not for his OZ DNF, and nobody wins the first 5 races without being champion. He has this year in the bag, and I knew he would from winter testing.

We don't know about Oz and after 2 out of those 4 wins, he actually said Rosberg was faster. At the very least, it was very close.

6. Might be a bit harsh as it was one of the best Barcelona races for a while, but overall until the last 10 laps I found it pretty dull.
But overall I'd rather have nail biting last 10 laps than all the action in the first 10 laps.

I really enjoyed the race. I have always used the live timing on a laptop, but have found that using the paid app on an ipad has really added to my enjoyment, there was lots going on all up and down the field.

pretty good for a spanish gp - historically associated with team 1 2s and little overtaking.
has some potentially challenging corners but both straights too short.
other than the spanish fans would not be missed as a circuit frankly

Absolutely - unless Hamilton runs into consistent technical problems over the next few races, this championship will be over just as quickly as the likes of 2011 and 2013 and probably a lot sooner.
Apoka - Rosberg may have appeared to have to have the edge but Hamilton got the job done despite this, which says it all.
Anyway, apologies for hijacking the thread with Hamilton V Rosberg stuff.

This race was not poor by any standards. Yes we may not have had much ontrack overtaking. But it was a damn tense race. Unlike China where I was tempted to switch off and go do something else, I didnt want to leave this one.

Really enjoyed it! Gave it an 8/10 because it took a while to get going but a tense finish and good battles throughout the field means Id've given 10/10 for the last ten laps or so.
Best Driver: Vettel. 15th to 4th, strongest performance in the field for me. Very good response to his early-season malaise, although it remains to be seen whether he is on terms with Ricciardo just yet. Honourable mention also to Bottas in 5th and Grosjean delivering Lotus' first points!
Worst Driver: I usually hate the Maldonado-bashing that goes down in this forum, but boy what a crap weekend he had. Threw it away in qualifying and again in the race with two absolutely boneheaded accidents. Needs to improve as Grosjean showed the car was good for points this weekend.
Best Team: Mercedes. Well, duh. Although happy to see Lotus moving forwards
Best Overtake: Vettel around the outside of Gutierrez (might have been Sutil?) at the hairpin. Liked his move on Bottas also, and Alonso nailing Raikkonen.
Best Moment: Those tense moments at the end were brilliant, with Rosberg catching Hamilton, Vettel catching Bottas and Alonso catching Raikkonen. I think the two Force Indias were tied together all race as well, but it's amazing how much more exciting races are when there's a battle for the lead.
DRS/Tyres: Both good. DRS actually made passing in places that weren't Turn 1 into a possibility, and I like that the tyres wouldn't switch on. Wonderful to see the drivers fighting the cars like this.
And the race in a sentence: A slow burner but when it burned, it burned good.

We ought to start 'Rate the race!' threads for other series so we can start finding out what the best use of our weekend time allocated for racing will be. Indy this weekend was about a 7 or an 8, if you ask me.

Worst Driver - Maldonado
Best Team - Mercedes
Best Overtake - Alonso on Kimi
Best Moment - The numerous teammate battles was pretty good at the ending.

And the race in a sentence... - Get it together, McLaren.

Not the best F1 race this year, but still better than the Bumpercars at Indy.

But that's what was so great about it. IndyCar is like the Sheldon Cooper of racing: it takes itself far more seriously than it actually is in spite of the fact that deep down it knows it can never be that serious, and everybody knows that but doesn't care because they enjoy watching it make an utter basketcase of itself week in, week out--it's like F1 with a sense of humour, and I love it. Double-file restarts and acceleration zones are the product of the half-baked insanity that I've come to realise is synonymous with IndyCar--it's so over-the-top that you can't help but laugh at it. You don't watch it for the cool cars, you don't watch it for the championship, you don't watch it to see a particular driver win, you don't even really watch it for the racing all the time--you watch it for a good time, and that's what's so great about it. In my opinion, of course. Not the best F1 race this year, but still better than the Bumpercars at Indy.
More on this here--and yes, you might want to read the whole thing. I am now done with my off-topic rant, and understand if you still disagree.

The sound and aesthetics are still missing (-2), and for every race in which the farcical double points are still an inevitability, I'm obliged to take off an additional 1-2 points. In the interest of adhering to FIA SOP, this value will be inexplicably doubled for no apparent reason in the last race.
So you create your own artificial score to counter FIA´s artificial score. You´ve fallen for that pretty easily

Worst Driver - Maldonado
Best Team - Mercedes duh
Best Overtake - one if vettel's turn 10 ones, or kvayyat (no idea how to spell his name) on the outside of t3
Best Moment - Hamilton finally winning in Spain I guess
DRS + Tyres - fine
In a sentence - off the shelf, standard formula 1 race
